Dee Ford says he's better than Jadeveon Clowney

#1

Haha, I would love it if we could get both of these guys.  Clowney in the 1st and Ford in the 2nd.

"I'm better (than Clowney). Let's put it like this. People like to talk about size all the time. Size is pretty much overrated in my eyes," Ford said on Sirius XM NFL Radio Sunday. "You can look at guys like Robert Mathis, Elvis Dumervil, Von Miller. These are 6-2 guys and under. People are just looking at the fact that he's a physical specimen. Honestly if you watch the film, he plays like a blind dog in a meat market, basically."

If we got them both, would be an awkward conversation in the locker room. Big Grin

I would love it if Ford could fall to #39, but he probably will be off the board by then. No thanks on Clowney.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I just don't want Clowney at this point. If we draft him, I'll be psyched and I'll expect him to be an All-Pro in our defense, but his intangibles scare me.

Not really, its all about competition.  They could push each other along with Branch.

If the intangibles scare Mike Mayock and Gil Brandt, he is more of a boom or bust pick than most people think. I never wanted him.

Now we need Michael Sam to come out and say he's better than both.

I love how easily talking heads can sway the public opinion.

Please Houston. Please be stupid enough to pass on Clowney.

The talking heads have to sway mine because I never see most of them play.

Gotta love the attitude!  Would love to grab this guy in 2nd round if he falls.

He's right about Clowney being unskilled and trying to just use his athleticism to overpower guys.

Not a Clowney fan at all, so I would have to agree with this.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Has there been any report that suggests Clowney has a high motor or strong work ethic? Didn't Spurrier say his ethic was merely ok? Can't gamble on players with redflags like Clowney with such a high pick. Even in his interview he comes off as a phony. This guy just wants to get paid then quit
