Day 3 at the draft
|
Tight end was a need, but I don't see any value here. He seems like a depth tight end at best. I don't like this pick.

That’s me done with the draft for this year. Thanks for everyone for their analysis. I wish 90% hadn’t been so negative.
Hoping that the players that we’ve picked work out. I’m going to trust the coaching staff’s evaluation and hope they can improve these guys. We’ve made a few risk/reward choices, which I’m excited to see how they work out, especially Little.

Wow. That's it. I this draft is officially over. It was over after the 2nd round
The only thing I can think is that they really plan to utilize blocking tight ends this year and they were desperate to find a back up blocking tight end. because this is absolutely not a receiving tight end.
Of course it's always possible that this was simply self indulgence by Urban Meyer taking one of his own guys. I hope it wasn't that.
I honestly wonder if Urbz/Trent read this board and take the most off the wall selections just to get a rise out of everyone.

Why did they draft a guy that is 29 years old? Where is the upside and what team was a threat?

That's why I'm no teams GM, he didn't take over the game, he flashed, and have to take note that the UAB LB'ers are horrible on that defense. Here is the you tube video of that game i just found.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYIB5zCprl4

I'm really upset. I know more about drafting NFL players than our GM does. I don't know what our organization's scheme will be this year but I don't have to know because I'm a small business owner and I watch football games on tv. This makes me an expert on draft day selections. I don't understand why NFL teams aren't knocking on my door to hire me.

Seems like Urban just drafted him cause he recruited him. I guess he wants to make sure this guy gets an NFL paycheck. Trash pick.

just watched Luke Farrell highlights and he didn't look too bad at all. The only thing I saw was that he didn't 'sseem to run through tacklers very well - he went down as soon as he got hit. Otherwise, he looked good and he comes from a winning program so he has that mindset, hopefully. I'm happy with this pick in the 5th round; I just wish we'd picked a better TE earlier.
Still hoping we get Ertz. I think he could add a lot of leadership to the offense. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Maybe they are planning on adding 50 lbs.to Farrell's frame and making him our new LT. That would be cool. He certainly blocks better than Robinson or Taylor.
