I'm not going to comment on the veracity of the NY Post. That's been well documented. I did listen to the video in the link and De Blasio never says what the article claims he said. Never even comes close.

It's possible. It's being reported by other outlets. The video doesn't capture De Blasio saying that though. Specifically he said (among other things) that "If you want to participate in our society fully, you've got to get vaccinated, it's time".

NYC is the first city to have this requirement at all.

Here's the text of the order. Yes it's stupid in the sense that it doesn't make sense to mandate proof of vaccination without having the second dose of the two dose vaccines. I guess the idea is to jump start people who've been reluctant.

Anyone who has received their Vaccine can not donate convalescent plasma to other Covid patients.
The Vaccine wipes out natural Covid antibodies making the convalescent plasma ineffective for treatment.

Once people are vaccinated, they cannot donate plasma. The vaccine causes spike antibodies, and for convalescent plasma, they need nucleocapsid antibodies.

Due to the decline in hospital demand and because the Red Cross and our industry partners have been able to build a sufficient supply of convalescent plasma to meet the foreseeable needs of COVID-19 patients the Red Cross stopped collecting convalescent plasma completely on June 14.



Notice how the Red Cross does NOT deny that the vaccine wipes out natural antibodies in those who have had the vaccine, but instead they tell you the claim is not “accurate” because they have stopped accepting plasma since enough plasma has already been collected and they don’t need anymore.



This is highly deceptive language which will deflect the truth from anyone not paying close attention to the parsing. The questions directly above this one in the Q and A tell you straight up that the plasma is different and …. WAIT FOR IT …. that only the plasma from the UNVACCINATED meets their requirements:



“One of the Red Cross requirements for plasma from routine blood and platelet donations that test positive for high-levels of antibodies to be used as convalescent plasma is that it must be from a donor that has not received a COVID-19 vaccine. Yeah, the vaccine is working for now (even though I am still concerned about it failing in the future). I wish the conspiracy guys would let that rest. That said, I agree that .007% is a small number. Especially when we are only comparing that to a subset of the population. So, if we aren't worried about that, why are we so concerned about the .0001% under 50 that are dying in the US? This virus is not deadly to young people, especially when you consider that it's literally the first wave of it. I said this 100 pages ago that I think this will ultimately be less deadly than the flu once everyone has built an immunity to it. I predicted by year 3, everyone's immune system would have the recipe for beating this thing, and they would carry that into their elderly years, ultimately reducing the risk of death to something very manageable. I still think we are on track to do that with or without a vaccine. Natural immunity is proving to be superior.

The .007% in WV is of people who've been vaccinated. The percentage of deaths in the infected population is about 1.6% in WV. You can extrapolate that to the rest of the country if you want. The truth is, most people who get it will recover but what about the people you infected with it if you do get it? Like your parents or your grandparents or your siblings or your spouse?

If your loved ones are vaccinated, doesn't that pretty much prevent them from dying if they get COVID-19? Isn't that the entire pitch for the vaccine?
