Linderbaum is a stud. If we were gonna replace Linder, he'd be the guy I'd want to replace him. I also like Nick Ford of Utah,if we wanted to wait a little later though.

What OT's does he have ranked that high? The link you provided is a pay site that won't let you see the rankings unless you subscribe. I have Kenyon Green and Ikem Ekwonu ranked very highly, but as pure OG prospects. I also like Darrian Kinnard, but I wouldn't draft him for this team, because he is a RT only and given our uncertainty at LT, I want someone who has the ability to play both OT positions.

I knew Neal would be up there despite my feelings about him. IMO, Ekwonu is the top rated OG in the draft. I just don't see him as an OT on the next level. I saw Cross once in either week 1 or 2 of Mississippi State's schedule this year and he was beaten several times. I just didn't find him impressive at all. Maybe he had a bad week and has gotten better. Who knows? I'll give him another look, once I get another Mississippi State game broadcast in my area. Penning has been rocketing up draft boards, but I literally know nothing about him. It'll be a miracle if they show a Northern Iowa game in my area. I probably won't get to see him play until one of the Bowl games. I do hear good things about him though. I was really high on his teammate, Spencer Brown last season.

I can paste the blurbs.

4. *Evan Neal, OT, Alabama (6-7, 357)
The first four players on my summer draft board are the same four players on this update. Neal has a unique blend of size and flexibility and he has transitioned really well to left tackle this season. He casts a wide net in the run game to scoop and drive and he doesn’t allow his arms to be chopped down in pass protection.

5. *Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State (6-4, 322)
No, this isn’t too high for a player with Ekwonu’s explosive power. We knew he was an outstanding run blocker, but I have been blown away by his improvements in pass protection this season (see the Mississippi State tape). With his nimble feet and balanced movements, Ekwonu has not only boosted his draft stock, but he has also proven that he can play tackle and won’t have to move inside. No offensive lineman in this draft class has more upside than “Ickey.”

7. *Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State (6-5, 305)
Cross played like a future first-round pick as a freshman last year and he has been even better this season as a redshirt sophomore. His length and mirror quickness are the foundations of his game, but his improved hand exchange and counter-measures have been awesome to see.

8. Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa (6-7, 329)
The fourth offensive tackle in the top 10, Penning was considered a potential first-rounder entering the season, but he has only picked up momentum with his play as a senior. Penning moves really well for his size with powerful hands, long arms and the pissed-off attitude to win one-on-one match-ups.

Thanks. I really hope I get a chance to see Trevor Penning before bowl season. With him being from a small school, he'd be more of a project, but I hear his upside is tremendous.

Kenny Pickett looking better and better each time I see him. I'm calling it now. He will be the top QB off the board in the 2022 draft.

And he may have been the 6th QB taken last year lol

Pretty crazy.

His rise is a lot like Zach Wilson's last year. The improvement he has shown from last year until now is amazing. He looks so comfortable in the pocket.

Their going to hold Kenny Pickett’s tiny hands against him and then he’ll be drafted late 1st by the Saints and then they’ll continue to be a winning program for years again. He has 8 1/4" hands which apparently is below the NFL baseline of 9”. I imagine it’ll be a huge deal because it was for Joe Burrow and his hands are slightly above 9”

Joe Burrow went #1 overall.

Burrow is one of the best prospects in the last 20 years, up there with Luck and Lawrence.  That was a good game last night though and the rain started to come down hard in OT

I highly doubt Pickett is going to be the first QB selected in the upcoming draft...

This draft class is certainly weak for QB prospects from what we have seen so far this year and I am so glad we were able to snag Lawrence last year and not get stuck with flameouts like Zach Wilson or the others.

As to the above, Burrow absolutely cemented himself as one of the best prospects in decades because of his unreal accomplishments in that LSU offense his final year. I had no doubt he was going first overall let alone being the first QB selected even with some thinking Tua was at the time.

Was that the South Dakota State game? I watched him in the highlights of that game specifically because OLM mentioned him. A number of times he looked out of position and missed getting to his block n a number of running plays. When he Can get his hands on you, he is a mauler but overall he looks very raw. And this was not against top tier defensive linemen. I would need to see a lot more before being convinced

What I like about Pickett is that he goes through all his reads. He's not just a one read and run guy. In his last game, he completed passes to 9 different receivers. He keeps the defense on their toes by utilizing all his weapons.

I like O-Linemen with mean streaks, but he looks undisciplined. That punch in the back of the head would be a huge penalty and probably get him thrown out of the game.

Joe Burrow went #1 overall.

I think you missed my point where I was saying that Joe Burrows’ hands were tiny and a big deal… and Pickett’s hands are WAY smaller than that. I like him just fine, I’m just saying what will hold him back. Plus, Pickett is absolutely not Joe Burrow

I follow the draft process very closely and I live in the Cincinnati area. I don't remember anything ever said about Burrows hands, but even if his hands were small, he has proved his doubters wrong. I think Pickett will too. With that said, Pickett is not Joe Burrow. Burrow is better. I would compare Pickett to Ryan Tannenhill. I don't really see any other QB in this draft class turning out to be a long term NFL starter. I do think Pickett will have a good NFL career.

I follow the draft process very closely and I live (kinda) in the Cincinnati area. Burrow's small hands were definitely brought up quite a bit. That said, they were still 9 inches...which is exactly the bare minimum for the hand size threshold.

I think the NFL is realizing that pure talent overcomes shortcomings. Remember when QB's under 6'2" weren't even in consideration to be drafted? Then guys like Drew Brees and Kyler Murray came along. The same can be said of O-Linemen with shorter arms. The Terron Armstead was given a chance. In the last few years, certain players have blown certain "measurable standards" out of the water. Looking at this year's QB class, I don't see any way that teams can view anyone other than Pickett as the top QB in the class. Malik Willis is extremely athletic, but he is not a good passer from the pocket and he is very raw. Matt Corral throws a ton of high percentage passes and lacks consistency. Sam Howell makes some very questionable decisions and gets completely thrown off his game when pressured. Carson Strong looks like a system QB and doesn't handle pressure well either. Desmond Ridder is another raw talent who will throw a brilliant pass on one play and on the next, you'll be scratching your head why he made some an ill advised pass. This is definitely not the year to need a QB, but looking at this class, imo, Pickett is by far the #1 guy despite any measurables he may lack. He has good arm strength, very good accuracy and makes excellent reads. That should easily trump anything else.
