I REALLY wanted to like Byron or Eric over Brian. But, after watching hours of interviews, I want Brian. He seems to be the best mix of Football IQ and Leader of Men. When I hear Eric talk, I hear an amazing leader of men, like a Tony Robins type figure. But I’m not hearing the Football IQ , and the fact that he’s had Andy and Patrick (and the other cast) it’s just hard to judge. Same thing with Byron. Byron is very smart and charismatic, and he calls the plays (for the most part). Daboll I like because he’s straight to the point, no bs, doesn’t give generic answers. And he’s had the least talent to work with of the 3.

There is no way in hell we are going to have a D Coordinator as our HC. It’s all about Trevors development. And seeing how Brian has morphed Allen as a legit QB, i am uber pumped for him to have the reigns.
First, finally!  Bieniemy or Leftwich. are top two.  Daboll good too.  NIce list.  Would Leftwich return to JAX after being treated so bad at the end?

Why not?  He's a man, isn't he?  Initial polls indicate Leftwich is the choice of the fans.  It's a good job, with a prospective franchise QB, and lots of cap room.  Coaches don't turn down HC opportunities.  Yes, he would return.  Absolutely.

This is 100% true.  Fans made fun of how he spoke, the way he looked, his long throwing motion.  Inexcusable.

If he'd pass up the shot at being a head coach because of hurt feefees then he's not head coaching material.

I'm not someone that's slobbering for Leftwich, but I don't recall him being treated particularly worse than any other top ten bust.

How we feeling about Jim Caldwell?

A ton of players like him and respect him.

I also remember him being criticized as lazy and apathetic when he turned down the team offer to send him to a QB training pro in the off-season to work on his mechanics and technique.

I remember his reviews from the fans being fairly mixed. I think JDR had more of a problem with him than most of the fans. The biggest complaint I recall was a perceived (probably incorrectly) lack of work effort and a long wind up. The second was a legit complaint and led to quite a few turnovers. He probably would tell you that himself.

Whether he'd be willing to come back here as a HC, I dunno but there are only 32 of those jobs in the league. My guess is he'd listen at least.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

I don't understand everyone's obsession with Eric B. He doesn't even call the offensive plays. Why do you want him?????

#29

Josh McDaniels.

You want the man who drafted Tim Tebow with a first round pick.

I don’t want him in charge of the drafting

He's almost 70.  I would be nice if we can get a coach that could stay through Trevor's career

I"d be extremely happy with any of those 3

Bieniemy has some legal stuff that would prevent him from coming I think.

It would be hilarious if Khan hires someone from this staffing regime.

Such a classic Khan move.

When was that? If I remember correctly it was like 30 years ago...

McDaniels drafted Tebow and he isn't leaving NE, much less for the Jags.

Clearly you don't want him in charge of the roster and that stuff, but he did win a playoff game with Tebow at QB.

The comments show that 10% of the fan base will be happy with the eventual hire while the sky will continue to fall for the other 90% lol.

That was Fox.  But I'd love McDaniels here

That's certainly the historical pattern.  Over the next few weeks and months, we'll all develop our favorites, and we'll be unhappy if they don't pick that guy.  It's just like the draft.

I can respect everyone's desire for their own candidate, but I don't understand the desire for Bienemy.  I just don't get it.

Doug Pederson and Matt Nagy both got head coaching jobs after being OC for the Chiefs and Andy Reid.

I think people want Bieniemy because the see the success of the KC offense, and he's the OC over there.
