What I want to know is how are we going to pursue interviews in earnest for a HC, beginning in a week, when Trent Baalke is still in the building? IF a new GM is in the future, that should be the first selection so they can make the decision on a coach. If Khan is going for a clean sweep, he needs to get rid of Baalke now to at least signal to HC candidates that they'll be stepping into a changed atmosphere.

I haz a worry.

Though I don’t remember where I saw/read or heard it, I thought I saw something saying Khan wasn’t going to look into the HC opening until 2022.  Sucks since they can interview earlier this year.  But at the same token, indicates that other changes could be made.  To be honest, after this fiasco, I don’t see how Khan can keep Baalke.  I’d be most disappointed if he kept him around.  I’d even be shocked.  Khan has made many mistakes.  But he made the right decision with Meyer way earlier than anyone of us expected.  I’d hold off on worrying about Baalke sticking around.

I wouldn’t say there’s a rush but you don’t want someone else snatching your top candidates.

Raiders are also looking for a new coach. And most likely the Bears too. Add in possible openings like Vikings, Seattle, NYG, Carolina and you got some competition for the top GM and HC openings.

Leftwich-played QB on the NFL level. Has been a part of two Super Bowl winning teams (Steelers and Bucs). Exposure to two Super Bowl winning coaches (Tomlin and Arians). Believes in attacking downfield. I don't think he would be accepted here.

Brian Daboll-his seeming disregard for the running game is a concern, but I love the way he has developed Josh Allen. Made him more accurate (which seems to be an issue with TL) and gave him much more surrounding talent (which is an issue with the Jaguars).

Kellen Moore-really like what he has done in Dallas. Another former QB...helped develop Dak Prescott

Eric Bienemy-Been around the league a long time as a former player and assistant coach. Versed in many systems, including Andry Reid's WCO. As the first non QB, can he develop TL? His coordinators will be of utmost importance.

Sean Payton-Has succeeded at the highest level, Won a Super Bowl as a head coach and developed Brees. Coached under Bill Parcells.

Great question.

I would be tempted to say yes immediately, since presumably they would know each other, would know the personnel requirements, etc.  But I would also want the guy with the best eye for talent.  That person may or may not come from the same organization. 

Meanwhile, relationships can be built.

Don't be too sure. 

There was a lot of antipathy towards Leftwich when he was here.  There was more hatred towards him than any other Jaguars' QB.

I would say Urban Meyer is the only Jaguar more despised by the fanbase.
