Head Coach Candidates (Merged Threads)

According to Dilla on twitter, Pederson is the one candidate that would actually want to work with Baalke. They actually get along, so hiring Pederson would mean keeping Baalke. I don't want Baalke running our draft. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
My vote is for Pederson. I love how he criticized Marrone when Marrone was too chicken to try to drive the offense on the last drive of the AFC championship game. He spared no words later and spoke his mind. And said what we all knew Doug Marrone should have done by not taking his foot off of the gas when he had a chance. This is the type of head coach that we need. One with some intestinal fortitude on offense.

Gibbs went from 80's to early 00's. Parcells took a few 3 - 4 years off inbetween the Giants, Patriots, Jets and Cowboys. For Caldwell, he isn't a long term solution so you need to prepare for the next hire. He also would need some good coordinators. McDaniels is probably hanging on for the same opportunity in New England. If age is a concern. Then, why not just go for Kellen Moore? He's 33. No age concerns there. Still really surprised Joe Lombardi's name has not come up yet. He's done great in L.A with Herbert already. He was with Caldwell in Detroit. Payton in New Orleans. Very good mix of run and pass philosophically on offense. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I like the attitude that he should be concentrating on his next opponent.
https://www.foxnews.com/sports/bucs-byro...respectful I, personally, would not mind him as coach. He's always been considered a film junkie. Honestly I doubt it will happen though. I think if they take a young guy it will be Moore. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Baalke has also recently been pushing Alabama offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien to ownership as a possible candidate. O'Brien earned accolades as a play-caller under Nick Saban and has previous experience as head coach in Houston. However, the bitter end to his time there, and his history of power struggles and personality clashes, won't likely do much to stem the tide of public sentiment in Jacksonville against the early stages of this hiring process. Judge: "And why did you fire Mr. Baalke, Mr. Khan?" Khan: "He suggested Bill O'Brien as Head Coach." Judge: Is this true, Mr. Baalke? Trent: "Yes. Bill O'brien is..." Judge: *bangs gavel* I'm already ready to rule. This was a 'for cause' firing. I'm awarding the Jacksonville Jaguars 2 million in mental damages just for suggesting such a thing.

Another half measure by Khan which will ensure another half [BLEEP] result. The man needs to step away from the process and let someone else run it. Pick up the phone and call Tony Dungy. That would provide a needed and immediate infusion of legitimacy to the GM/HC hiring process. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Jacksonville is only attractive to head coaches if the GM is not a Teflon type guy who is a partner. Not someone that behind the scenes throw 2 coaches under the bus to save his own skin. The good coaches don't want to work with a snake like that.

Baalke gets to pick out another volatile personality, like Bill O’Brien, whom he’ll later clash with.
