Here’s the only compromise I see working.  Baalke resigns with a generous severance package, Leftwich is hired as the HC, and then Tony, Shad, and Leftwich interview GM candidates, one of which is Adrian Wilson.  Baalke gets to ride into the sunset as the selfless hero that did the right thing for the organization even though he was clearly wronged, the coach that all three of them had previously agreed on is hired, and Shad saves face in terms of bring told who his GM is going to be.  Leftwich’s compromise is that his GM may not be Wilson, but it definitely won’t be Baalke.

That's what I'm hoping.  I really lie Wilson's FA class, but I'm not so sure about his drafts

The last time he moved what I assume to him was fast doing this, it tuned out badly and he will take his time because it is important to him to not have a repeat. Christmas will come but just be patient, he knows he is on the "clock" but this is the NFL clock. Not the fans clock, so he has time.

It is championship weekend. Nothing is happening now that we hit Friday. Roger wants the focus on the games. This will probably get lame again on Tuesday.

Khan can only satisfy himself at this point. He isn't a fan of this team. The sport doesn't mean much to him. I am sure our petty little feelings are annoying and bothersome. He is the one handing out the real money on this right now. Props to his son for moving on these things but at the end of the day dad isn't invested like the fans.

I could be wrong but my hunch says a deal gets done. As far as Leftwich he could bail if things are still being negotiated. Could be a gamble for him though. Could go back to being OC next year. But if brady retires and they can't find good qb, the shine could come off Leftwich if he has a bad year. Obviously a lot of "ifs" but if you're this close to bring head coach, gotta think the situation would have to be awful to walk away.
