Once the team got rid of the 10,000 pound gorilla, he put together an impressive short sample size as the leader of men.
I'm sure Kahn observed that and it's why he's invited Bev in for a second interview.

Bevell would wind up being a placeholder until next offseason.

This is wrong think on so many levels. We have 3 wins this year and every case the opposing team mailed in their game plan and just thought they could show up and roll an NFL Team.  We were a slant play away from setting league records for losses when we beat Miami. The last "win" of the year is a pure smoke screen. To use that as justification for screwing up right now is flat #becausejaguars

This owner just won't accept reality. I guess when you are a billionaire and you have a sycophant whispering in your ear over and over again you do foolish things.

Oh very strong note.  Lost to a bad Houston team.  Lost to an even worse Jets team.  They didn't show up for the Patriots game and get absolutely embarrassed.  And they win the final game.  Not a good sample size.  Unless your sample size is one game.

Murlarkey 2.0 but can you imagine what it will be like if we are doing this again in 2023?  This is lunacy.

That seems likely considering that's the only positive argument I can remember Mrs. Bevell giving us for retaining Darrell.

But the team did show promise at the end. Marvin actually should have been given the game -winning touchdown in the Jets game, making us 2-2 to end the year.

If we are going on one game that means

Lawrence and Jones were first team all pros while this defense was the second coming of sacksonville.

Basing anything on one game is ridiculous and short sighted.

I'll clear up your vision -- that win showed proof that the team didn't mail it in when it had every right to. Bev and the coaching staff ignited a spark that should be built upon for next year.
And like I said -- the Jags won that Jets game on the late Marvin TD. The replay showed it to be true. So that's a 2-2 record to wrap up a combustible year. Extrapolate that to a full season and we're 9-8 or 8-9. Wouldn't you honestly take that with a rookie quarterback?

Championship weekend. The league wouldn't let us make any announcements now anyway.

Interesting take....pay Firefighter bevel to put out the fire somewhat. Would you wait 1 year for Sean Payton?
A new broom always sweeps clean.

I’m under the impression that the Giants just announced the Brian Daboll hire.

I hate auto correct
