I wonder who we go after next, will we go after a pass rusher Bennett or a low level guy, will we go after Byrd we do need a FS, I know we will go after a G and C early in FA. I expect a WR on a nice deal would love Jason Avant

Why do you want Jason Avant? A slow aging receiver that offers no upside, that's not the type of player I expect the Jags to target. I can see them targeting a guy like Hakeem Nicks on a 1 year prove it deal.

The only way I'd want him back is if he takes a pay cut.

 

There's no way I'm paying him top dollar to stay here. I think he knows he won't do any better in free agency, which is why he'll be back in uniform next year.

Is this Shad? You keep referring to I only want him back with a pay cut, and I am not paying him top dollar.

If this isn't Shad, I'm sure he's thinking I would be happy if you bought some tickets. I' ll worry about the contracts.

The Jaguars want to re-sign cornerback Will Blackmon, but NFL rules prevent them from doing so until Tuesday at the earliest.


Because Blackmon played under a minimum-salary, one-year veteran contract in 2013, his deal doesn’t expire until the start of the new league year (Tuesday) and thus, the rule states that he can’t sign a new deal until then.
