If there’s one thing the world has learned since January is you don’t [BLEEP] with Ukrainians.

Last night I watched Deadpool. A very fun, very profane movie and very funny.
I binge-watched Welcome to Wrexham and they kept referring to Deadpool so I was curious. That led me to watching it.

Definitely not wifey material though, way too combustible. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

It has some brutal scenes related to body limbs and such but not bad overall. The movie is a bit slow given its 2 hours and 23 minutes long but I'd have to say the last 50 minutes are pretty good with regard to guessing the outcome of a few personal lives. Over the last 2 years, I've been able to get a sizable Blu-ray/DVD collection. I mostly like the older stuff when actors were actors and the film didn't rely on CGI effects to be good. I have stuff from the 1940's up (I'm a big Bogart fan) Last night I popped in one of the newer films in my collection, The Big Lebowski........ I found it to be a very strange but also a very funny film.... Maybe I should look in to getting more of the more recent films out on DVD for my collection......... Oh, BTW, I studied Film in HS and College that's where my love of the older stuff comes from.......

Several movies have been made over the last century (including one with Richard Thomas (John-boy Walton) and Ernest Borgnine) attempting to express the tragedy and emotional turmoil of the book and none have come close. Read the book if you haven’t already.

Watching Jim Carrey's version of The Grinch, and honestly, Clint Howard could have fit right in with the rest of the Whos, without the makeup.. Dat dood ugly.. Edit: After thinking more on it.. I decided to call it Chipmunk Face.. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Not too bad actually, it's a musical comedy, follows along the lines of A Christmas Carol, pretty funny, actually! So let me ask a question in regards to Christmas movies. There's so many good adaptations of A Christmas Carol, does watching multiple adaptations in one season kind of overkill for ya? Cause I kinda feel like that. Love that movie Scrooged, but also like the original Christmas Carol, Scrooged, Spirited, Scrooge, A Muppet Christmas Carol ect ect.. I just feel like if I seen one, I seen them all and it feels kinda ruined for the rest of the season. Never seen the others. Forgot another semi-new one I like. The Santa Clause. ![]()

I think part of the consideration is whether it's a strict retelling/adaptation of Dickens' story, or if they take some liberties to retell the story in a new world (as Scrooged does). I don't think I'd get as much enjoyment watching say 3 Dickens-specific period pieces, but if we do Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol with the kids, I'm still gonna enjoy Scrooged later.
