That's probably what happens sometimes when the jags have to pay extra for free agent too. Jags need to win and shut the hating down.

I wonder what that means to the Jags and the salary/cap. Is he basically out of the league now? If the Jags cut him, that means they technically claimed him and have to pay him. If he never really showed up then they don't have to pay him anything.

NFL doesn't reset waiver claim order right? I can't remember if they move you to the bottom or change the order to the current season standings at some point.

Local beat guy posted video of him drilling at practice last week

They probably just quickly realized why the rams cut him and followed suit
