Thoughts on the season and the future

Has anyone heard any news or rumors about a new sponsor for the stadium? I wonder if we’ll go back to Jacksonville Municipal Stadium for a while? With the direction the arrow is pointing with this team, I would be surprised if a corporate sponsor isn’t found immediately.

There's a Chase Field for baseball, a Chase Center for basketball, how about a Chase Stadium for football?
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

The season was quite the ride. We saw quite a bit this season from the team. The Good, development of our QB, free agents that actually earned their paychecks and a nice string of wins to end the season. The Bad a string of 5 losses in a row after a good start to the season. The Ugly, the Detroit game and that lateral on a reverse down at the goal line by TL that turned the ball over. We have been here before in 2017, with a bunch of FA acquisitions coming in and us doing well. I am cautiously optimistic his time with our current GM/HC configuration influencing that. The off season will certainly be pivotal in our results next year, but aren't they always for every team? This year we have a few key positions stabilized that I hope help that effort. The off season certainly will be entertaining in a completely different way this year. Stay tuned ... LOL

This off season will be really crucial. The offense is right there ready to win a superbowl. The defense needs a little bit of work there. Jags need a cb.

I'm not sold that the offense is already Super Bowl caliber. If Lawrence takes another step this off season, and Ridley comes back on fire, then it could be. There were just too many halves during the win streak where the offense was taken out of rhythm or guys did not step up to make the truly All-Pro level plays you need to win a SB. Defense still needs a lot of work IMO. They were too reliant on the big play TO at exact right moment. Cannot count on that consistently. We show less advertisements to registered users. The good news is that it was in year one of a new system that looks like its got legs for longevity. Lots of players returning for year two in this offense with a young, ascending QB - and that looks really good on paper right about now. I think the next step for Lawrence is just continuing down the same path to improved consistency and being comfortable enough under pressure to maintain technique and sound decision making. We saw him do this from the London game onward last year. If he picks up where he left off, we should see results. I think you'll see Lawrence break the Jags passing TD mark next year and flirt with 4,800 passing yards. Look at year 2 for Wentz (CARSON WENTZ) in Pedersons system. It's going to be beautiful.

I've been a Jaguars fan since the team was announced, but I live in Indiana, so finding other Jaguars fans to talk with has been like finding a needle in a haystack. I just happened to find this forum and I am overjoyed to find other fans of my NFL team. How long has this forum been around and why did it take me so long to find it? Anyway, this team has frustrated me for decades, but once we drafted Trevor Lawrence, I knew things were gonna start looking up. We haven't really ever had a franchise QB. Mark Brunell was the closest thing we'd ever had until now. Also we had to automatically get better, just by the subtraction of Urban Meyer. Good God, what was Khan thinking hiring a college coach with zero NFL experience and zero knowledge of the pro game or how to deal with grown men? Welcome. This board has been around forever. It was originally on the Jags website, but when they shut it down, we moved here. As to the rest of your post, I don't know that you can have a solid team ready for a franchise QB. Oftentimes, you have to draft high to get those, and that comes from losing. I am happy with the pieces we have. I really just want to focus on the lines. Resign Engram, and draft offensive and defensive linemen with every pick. That's all I'm doing until I get the right 5 for Trevor and the right d-line to get the other guy.

Mahome Boy just won a Super Bowl without Hill, so as long as we have an elite QB were good. We gotta get that defense right.
