Hmmm...not consistent. I would say a good rookie season with Calais and Ngakoue on the field with him. Another great season with Walker coming on. In between he was really the only threat. Still even then he matches up with Bosa's number over that same time. Well I guess Bosa wasn't really that good? They both came out in 2019. He will get real good money from someone if not us. Maybe the Titans or Texans? Yes, they will begin wanting Bosa money, why not? Where they end up is only a guess.
Totals for 5 years Tackles Bosa 209, Allen 259 Solo tackles Bosa 150, Allen 162 Assists Bosa 59, Allen 89 Sacks Bosa 53.5, Allen 45 I expect playing with an developing Walker will continue to let Josh eat.

Damn you remember so much that isn't so. I know I constantly have to help you understand the world around you, but if you can't remember day to day what was said how in the hell can you think you remember posts from years ago? You just attribute the wrong position to whoever you happen to be talking to at the moment. It helps you with that cognitive dissonance you have from always trying to reconcile your bad takes to actual reality. P.S. someone else already disproved your "consistency" take a few pages back, so you can drop that one. Josh Allen is a star and he'll be paid like one. Make him play on the tag and all you do is push his cost down the road. They should've signed him last year, but TB likes your management style and does everything as offensively and expensively as possible, so here we are. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

You're completely full of [BLEEP], but we already knew that. But you are correct that I was one of the few smart ones who was pounding the table to extend him last year so we didn't have to worry about the situation we're in now. You're also one of the buffoons that wanted to trade him before the trade deadline last year ("because he isn't any good") and just draft his replacement. And nobody wanted to give Yan a blank check, but yes I wanted to keep him because he's one of the best pass rushers this franchise has ever had. And what do you know, this pass rush has missed him ever since.

I looked at all the stats I could find as many here seem to be devaluing the guy more than is realistic. Seven sack difference over 5 years is not very much considering the middle 3 years of him being the only threat he had to endure. Also as a LB (very good point) he dropped into coverage a lot more giving Bosa more opportunities at sacks. We should somehow factor that in too, but it would only move the sack totals closer. (I do wish I had pressures to add) Just trying fairly evaluate his defensive contributions in total. While I am not a proponent of making him the highest anything I believe the guys saying 24-25 a year are going to be very disappointed as he most likely would just say no and go to another team when he can. Who knows he may get a chance for a Super Bowl ring like Taylor has this year...(Bartch too depending on this game) LOL

I have been passively reading this thread and one thing continues to frustrate me about Balke/Pederson. The relationship of the GM/coach and the player is for the GM/coach to find a better player than the one they currently have while the player’s job is make sure they cannot. This past draft not a single position was challenged, not one. Yes a starting right tackle was drafted but only because they didn’t have one. If you want to add depth, make your current starter a backup.

There were absolutely a few people that wanted to give Yawn more than what he was offered and he was already offered much more than he was worth, they were saying give him whatever he wants. I wanted to resign Yawn as well until I seen the contract he turned down yet you were one of the ones that still wanted to give him 20+ and whatever he wanted. Allen has always been better than Yawn though even before this year, I don't care about the sack numbers
100% pay Josh, show we'll take care of our guys. We can do it and still sign Trevor to big money.
