I called that as a wasted pick last season.   The WR room doesn't have a spot for a guy that's only on the roster just in case the PR gets hurt.   The RB room can hide the new draft pick on the practice squad.

Sheesh, I completely forgot...

That's why I would rather package up a couple of our extraneous draft picks to MOVE UP and snag an impactful player in a relevant round. The bevy of late round picks generally amount to nothing but wasted resources.

Is there room on the GameDay roster for a kick return specialist? Or is he insurance for if duvernay gets hurt?

Trying to come up with something positive to say. Anyone got ideas?

I guess with the new Kickoff rules, you need two returner's, one at each side of the field

Special teams pick. Hard to get too upset about late round picks. They're looking for guys to fill certain roles. Hopefully he becomes a special teams ace has a play here and there drawn up on offense to use his speed.

Meh. You signed Duvernay and started grooming Washinton last year for it.

Washington is a punt returner, not a kick returner. With the new return rules teams are gonna want guys liek this that are specialists for returning kicks. Deuvernay is on a 2 year deal and could end up being cut after 1 if we need cap space next year.

Most guys yes, but there are still very good players available and we are taking bums.  The Prince pick was a good one

This doesn't mena much. Teams have players graded differently than keyboard nerds. Everyone laughed at the quincy Williams pick and now he's a stud. Also Shanahan said that year that the niners also had a third round grade on him and it was a good pick.

I'm ok with every guy picked and where they picked them.  I'm not a coach.  I just know that for TWO seasons the Jags have looked soft on defense in the trenches and needed to get bigger and stronger...they did.

Added two CBs to strengthen that room.

Got the receiver that will make everyone forget the name Aiyuk.


I'm going to ignore the RB pick because I think it's simply because of the new kickoff rule.  That player isn't part of the RB room.   It's a product of the Jamal Agnew effect.

The biggest surprise of this draft is the Jaguars not yet taking an Edge rusher. What happens if Allen or Walker go down? They better sign someone like Bud Dupree who played for Nielsen in Atlanta. I would have taken Kamara or Booker.

Again. It’s about value. He’s reaching by consensus.

Now it’s clear his board doesn’t match the consensus but this is just a way for people to see how most see the talent pool. It’s not the end all be all but a baseline. None of us do research on every play but there are some people that do.
