If anyone is paying attention, the Redditors are pumping Gamestop stock again. I got in yesterday at $26 and it's currently at $71 in the 24 hour. Looks like the little guys are going to fleece the big boys again.

Just to update, I sold at $68 yesterday morning. I made $5k on the day, told my wife I just paid for our summer vacation. Was fun while it lasted.

Good on you for taking the gamble and winning.  It's back down to $22.21.

Just my opinion... these kinds of trades are pretty much just a gamble.  I wouldn't really call it "investing".  I would rather put the money into a quality stock or ETF for a longer term.  I still get the same result, it just takes a bit longer.

Supposedly will be going back up this week as they moved shorts to the 21st. The stock is primarily trade off market with fake shares. DRS a few shares and hold them in case they are ever made to cover the shorts with real shares. You will be able to name your price if it happens.

Gamestop announced some options they have for selling shares in the future. Looking like they want to profit off the shorts and the board members have been buying stock, so I doubt they think it will hurt the stock price.

The Gamestop release gave them 3 years, I think, to issue the shares. How they do it will be interesting. They could offer subscriptions, force the people loaning shares to buy shares from them at high rates since there aren't real shares available, etc. Whatever they do, I think it forces the shorts to have to convert to real shares for some type of dividend. The last dividend allowed a lot of people to buy it without using much money and the shorts are even worse now.

I doubt we will ever see the crazy share prices but I got a few pre dividend and have them split between DRS, IRA, and regular trading account. If the crazy price ever hits, I won't have to work.
