The secret service perceives threats everywhere, every day. We frequently hear that the President was delayed or detoured, and this is usually due to a perceived threat.  We almost never hear of them having to shoot someone.

You would think by now. Especially in today's political climate, both, geopolitically and domestically, that, every time the President and his or her entourage or any potential President to be next in line is out and about?

EVERYBODY is on high alert and ready to rock and roll. It's wild to think there's people this relaxed in these positions or lackadaiscal with their role.

If this was during the days of King's and Queen's? Good chance that whole vanguard would have been sent to the chopping block the next morning or placed in the darkest depths of their dungeon.

But, no, it's 2024. "Ho hum".

What I do know is they never shoot first.
They cover the target first.
They didn't have to shoot first.
They just had to run up the stage right stairs and hustle Trump away to the left before any shots were fired.
Why did they fail? Hopefully we get an explanation.

I was referring to the people on the conspiracy sites. They already had the pictures and were identifying people who it could be. The FBI waited to release a name until they could raid his house and probably wipe his social media accounts. We will probably find out soon he was a known person.

With both parents being psychologist or similar, I'm sure the kid was messed up. If any videos or posts are there, I'm sure they will be found.


From the ex-SS members and everyone who left under her watch, she puts politics first. Don't know if she has any actual experience but most likely just a bureaucrat or office manager type.

After the candidate or protected official is covered, they might shoot the intruder/suspect before he shoots them.
But getting Trump surrounded and offstage needed to happen instantly as soon as anyone suspected something was wrong.  It's what they should do for anyone they're protecting.

This is the wrong thing to focus on.  SS has to guard events in all types of environments.
They can not allow the President (or the candidate) to enter an area with any question mark or uncertain situation. If an unknown suspicious guy is discovered, they just have to get the man (or woman) out of there and figure out if it's a gun or a camera later.

Kids can get drones at the store for less than $50 that could have been very useful here.  It's a wonder there weren't several in the air that could have spotted him and ID'd the gun minutes earlier.  That poor family that lost a father might have been spared.
