People who drag their fork across their teeth.. The wife and I went out for dinner tonight and the couple at the table behind us, jesus.. Sounded like he was filing his teeth down or sharpening some kind of Longhorn shank or shiv..

Aches and pains.
I read an article that said aging is not a steady process; it happens suddenly, several times over a lifetime. Everything's fine for years, and then it's not. Your wellness takes a permanent dip. I think I have hit one of those spots.

I don't eat much sugar, at all, and not very much alcohol. But I've reached the stage in life when my favorite drugs are caffeine and ibuprofen.

At least in that date range. Or is it a ploy to get consumers to buy more? I tend towards the latter, but maybe it’s because I’m cheap. Morally and financially.

Well, actually, according to the internet, it doesn't go bad on the sell-by date. It goes bad a year or more after that. I think the sell-by date is so stores won't sell you something that will go bad soon.

I don't take them too often. Sometimes I go for weeks without ever needing any. However, I have a diclofenac prescription for some shoulder and knee flare ups going on from my Navy days. That stuff is magical, but I refrain from taking it too often because it has side effects with chronic usage, so it's saved for when the ibuprofen just doesn't cut it. I have four herniated disc’s in my neck, you only have six discs in there to begin with. I had an ablation on it a few years ago so now I can keep it under control with ibuprofen. I like the gel caps because they dissolve so quickly so they don’t sit in your stomach. I don’t know if it actually makes a difference, but it sounds right in my head, so I go with it. ![]()

Graphics and analytics in sports. They are so [BLEEP] overdone. It’s gotten to the point where half of them look made up now. Baseball and football are by far the worst. There’s got to be some sort of graph out there that analyses whether a player is better if they pee or poop before a game and the cross section is number of minutes before the game.

But I think I've reached a similar point but for different reasons. Men don't hit menopause. Y'all can hit andropause though. Hormone imbalance can seriously affect a lot of things mentally and physically. ![]() (09-15-2024, 11:31 AM)Bchbunnie4 Wrote:(09-15-2024, 11:11 AM)homebiscuit Wrote: The tablets, which work well for me. Both of those drugs can cause ulcers over time. Make sure your doctor is aware how much you've been taking and for how long. They may recommend an endoscope after your annual physical. Good friend of mine almost bled out from an ulcer that had festered a while and hit an artery one day.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

Notifications of data breaches is almost a monthly occurrence now. The service I use sent me an email with notification of 14 breaches. No particular company or organization involved, just a notification that it’s dark outside and my window shades are open. I thought of you when I got a monthly email today from an outfit I use to get my info removed from data broker lists and other lists. They're called Incogni and their job is to remove info sold to data brokers that results in a lot of spam emails, texts and phone calls. They even work to remove people's names and info from those 'people finder' websites. Incogni doesn't help with your specific annoyance of data breaches (or maybe it does in a different way) but it does help cut back on a lot of BS. It also helps to not have unnecessary apps on your phone and to use an email service like duck.com which blocks a butt load of trackers. They send me a monthly report by email and I can log on to the website to see more details. I think it's about $80/year. https://incogni.com/

Ever since the VA lost a laptop with millions of SS numbers, mine included, in the early 2000s, data breaches and ID theft have been a constant problem for me. Luckily, I've been able to thwart or reverse it after it happens. Some guy up in Illinois has used my SSN to open a T-Mobile account and buy a truck. I even receive a yearly letter from the SS Administration telling me they are aware of someone else using my SSN. It's part of my life now. I've accepted it. |
