Like Biden doesn't have the power to close the Border?

I guess.
It's one of the reasons everything's so topsy turvy.
No consensus on what's in the President's power and what's not, no real effort by Congress to push back, and no real unified theory coming out of the courts either.
But sure, keep [BLEEP] that chicken. Maybe the way to make things better is to make them worse.

Trump closed to border when they said Biden didn't have the power.. So did Trump have more Presidential authority than Biden does?

But did Trump actually close the border?  This Republican congressman claims otherwise.

Chip Roy knocks Trump over border claim: ‘That didn’t happen’ (thehill.com)

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) took a dig at former President Trump in a House floor speech Tuesday, denying the former president’s claim that any executive could unilaterally close the southern border.

Trump’s comments in a social media post Tuesday came after House Republicans shut down a bipartisan Senate border security bill, claiming President Biden should instead unilaterally stop all migrants from entering the U.S. using executive orders.

“No, we’re not just going to pass the buck and say that, ‘Oh, any president can walk in and secure the border,’” Roy said, referring to Trump’s post. “All a president has to do is declare the border’s closed, and it’s closed. Well, with all due respect, that didn’t happen in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. There were millions of people that came in the United States during those four years.”

It was never about quarantining a virus, it was about gaining control..

I don't care about the opinions of Trump's actions. I want to know if Trump had more Presidential authority than Biden currently does..

And I don't trust ANY of those two faced [BLEEP] in DC.. They showed us their true colors during Biden's one and done term.

And will now vote accordingly..

Kinda makes you think about all of those EO's that Biden signed his first few days in office.. Were any of those actually for our own safety?

The answer is no.  Every President has the amount of authority that is authorized by the Constitution.

Was that a serious question?

I think this is a good question that deserves a good answer.  I'm going to get back to it later. Marty's simplistic reply is correct in theory but incomplete without reference to all the back and forth that has gone on since 2013 on this. DACA, COVID, etc.

All of those EO's... All of them.

They did nothing but hurt us in the name of hurting Trump..

And you inbreds think the dems deserve another chance..

Hunter Biden to be sentenced on December 4th.

Assuming it will take a few days to get the paperwork in place, I assume he'll be home with a few weeks to spare prior to Christmas.

In theory people with a lot of debt should welcome inflation (it makes their debts smaller) and people with a lot of savings should hate it (it makes their savings smaller).
Never know who's who.  That boat could be paid off or he might be drowning in debt.
But in reality nobody likes inflation.  We are not rational creatures and we don't care what theory says.

Well in this case I can agree you are half correct.  People with savings have less buying power due to inflation and would not like it.

Your take on people with debt is a bit incorrect. The debt is unchanged, it stays the same. Your salary is unchanged so there is no effect, on the debt, but living costs rise giving a person fewer dollars to pay the loan back. People would not like this either. It can even get worse as unless you have a fixed rate loan rates go up and payments grow.  That is the downside risk of variable rate loans.

BREAKING: Oklahoma officials just announced that they have removed 450,000 ineligible names from the voter rolls, including 100,000 dead people and 15,000 duplicate registrations that somehow got pushed into the system

"Oklahoma ensures only eligible voters participate in elections in part by following voter list maintenance procedures provided in state law. Since January 1, 2021, Oklahoma election officials have removed 97,065 deceased voters, 143,682 voters who moved out-of-state, 5,607 felons, 14,993 duplicate registrations, and 194,962 inactive voters who were canceled during the address verification process."

Inflated voter rolls are on the Mt. Rushmore of ingredients of fraud. All you need to cheat in an election are ineligible names, universal mail-in voting, no chain of custody on ballots, and vulnerable voting machines. And don't forget a little bit of corruption on the side.

Oklahoma is a red state with 4 million people in it. Numbers like these can easily flip it from deep red to blue overnight. If this is happening there, you can only imagine the problem is 100x worse in other states.
