Kiper 3 round mock draft

I just don't see Garoppolo as worth a first-round pick.

Who said to draft Garoppolo in the 1st? I said 2nd round.

Quote:By watching him CRUM, CRUM, CRUMMMMM-BLE in the face of pressure the only time he faced a legit team vs USC.... Thats what he'll face routinely in the big boy league.

Just like his brother. Same traits/ Bloodlines.

He will be a garbage pro.
Wait, so you're saying that because David Carr was little more than a serviceable backup, Derek Carr's instantly going to be garbage?

The Mountain West Conference isn't the SEC, but compared to FCS, it might as well be. Garoppolo faced sub-subpar pass rushers and corners, and he lit it up. Carr faced some NFL talent on defenses, and he lit it up as well. Never said that Carr wouldn't have to sit, but I contend that he will be a more successful pro than Garoppolo.

Uhhhh...I don't know if you've been paying attention but I have never been a fan of Marcedes.

That doesn't dispute the fact that you have been on here whoring for attention for years.

I can't wait until Carr repeats USC performance on a weekly basis. I just hope its not for us...

Hopefully Caldwell chooses a QB elsewhere. Otherwise, a new GM will be picking our next QB.

Garoppolo also had trouble facing pressure on the FCS level. Using your logic he'll also be garbage

Meh

I only take Mack on a trade back, not a Carr but would like to see what other QBs were still available in that mock, not a big A.Robinson fan tho in the 3rd would be ok

Garrapolo = Romo because they both come from a small school

And

Carr = well David Carr because they are brothers

I'll bet you he's not the best available player when we select.

Since, you know... that's what I said.

Is this based on your own experiences?  I can't help but feel it is.  Just like your high school coach that you saw in Del Rio (the one that couldn't develop players.)

Just like the Palmers and Newtons.  Clones.

And speaking of bloodlines, I'd take a late flyer on Jake Murphy (Dale's son.)

Oh, so you want to keep it totally subjective...

Figures.

At least what I suggested has a definitive right/ wrong outcome.

He has the same pocket issues Carr has.

Garoppolo didn't look as skittish to me as Carr does when faced with pressure.

No, I'm keeping honest to what I said.  Something you simply can't do.  Your argument is not mine.

If we pass, I'm right.  We didn't feel he was the best player available.

I think we need a right guard and center before we need a right tackle.....

Oh, we didn't feel that he was the best player available if we do pass.... yes I agree to that, thats kind of an obvious statement though.

However, if we pass that doesn't necessarily mean we did the right thing, or that we didn't ultimately just let a better player slide further.

David Caldwell and staff are far from infallible.

Sometimes I think that some of you have this mindset that well whatever Caldwell decides to do is the right decision.

I'd agree with that. At some point if the value becomes too great, its better to just take the decidedly better player over the position.

I would be more than happy with those picks. To think 8 more picks come afterward is exciting too!
