I think D6 might be hiding,he might feel like this is a trap game for the lions.  afterall Loseville is the worst team ever in nfl history. No team ever got 3 ints, didn't allow a td and still lost game until Loserville did.  now we are only team to ever lose that type of game

note titans owner means im undeafted againest them.

who also happens to hate his QB.
This season has been very frustrating to say the least, and by all counts I'm not a Doug fan but the weird disconnected between the coach and QB is a worrisome. These coaches (whether we are a fan of them or not) see these players six days a week of the entire football season, so they have a better understanding of their abilities than we fans do because we don't really see them practice each week, like coaches do, we just sit back and analyze each play call (bad or good) and criticize it after that. So what I really want to know is if Doug changed his opinion on Trevor being a franchise QB or not,  if yes, what are the things Doug is seeing that Trevor isn't able to do? Or what is Trevor seeing that he doesnt agree with? After all Doug is touted to be an offensive guru and a "QB whisperer" (and he knows more than anyone on this forum or any other fan forums), and I'm assuming like any HC would, is that they sit on the film room every week and share ideas on what they like or do not like week in and out. So where is the disconnect?

Maybe were reading into this too much but Trevor facial expression on the field is also a concern. He doesn't seem to be a guy that can motivate these players even in tough situations and doesnt have an energizer bunny personality. He is also having his head down when they go 3 and out and I never see him hold players accountable like I see Mahomes, Herbert, Burrow. He needs to step up and be a fearless leader and get into these guys sometimes and maybe Doug doesnt see that in him. I'm not sure what it is but its definitely a head scratcher.

At issue.... if the coaches aren't happy with the QB why break the bank for him?

This team just sucks and has no plan. The acquisition of skill without a foundation is a problem

I still don't understand Dougs reasoning. We don't want guys out there that aren't 100%?

Didn't realise the rest of the roster was such a picture of health.

I really wanted things to work under Doug and was willing to give him time but the way he's been these last few weeks is getting full blown crazy. Feels like he's steering the boat into the iceberg.

I'm sure Shad led the contract negotiations. He's been desperate for a franchise QB and wasn't letting Trevor go.

I think we are in the full blown [BLEEP] covering phase of the year. Finger pointing at who's to blame and why they aren't. Going to be a full blown [BLEEP] show for the rest of the year if they carry on like this.

I think you understand perfectly. "Trevor's not going to play, and it's easier to lie about the reason why than to deal with the truth."
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

If he's not going to play the rest of the year, why wouldn't he be on IR right now? Methinks with the bye coming up after this week, he plans to rest up through it and play again against Houston and for the remainder of the year unless and until he eventually does go on IR. There doesn't necessarily have to be high school level drama going on behind the scenes. Just let it play out is all.

I think I’m actually going to skip this one. Watching Mac jones try to run this offense made me sick to my stomach last week. I can’t do it myself again.

He’ll be better this week but it won’t matter. This team needs (another) rebuild.

We finally reached the bottom in the power rankings and are likely a shoo-in for the 1st pick in the 2025 NFL draft. We are truly the best at being the worst!!

Shut Lawrence down for the year. No logical reason to play him if he is injured in any way. The season was statistically lost at 0-4. Save his health for the next coach and (hopefully) GM.

I smell a career day for whatever TE they line up. Maybe two of them if last week is any indication.

Our secondary was in bizarro world Sunday.
Darnell Savage and Ronald Darby played great in coverage and Jarrion Jones got absolutely worked by TEs.

Sam LaPorta didn't practice today because a shoulder injury (Left AC Joint Sprain) in the Lions comeback win over the Texans this past Sunday Night.

While Dan Campbell said LaPorta is 'Day to Day', with the Lions having two additional games this month (at Indianapolis, vs. Chicago on Thanksgiving Day), I think there's a good chance that LaPorta is kept out of the Jags game.

Brock Wright is normally the Lions # 2 TE. Most of the passes he catches are off of play action fakes.  He's not the type of TE who's going to stretch the field with any regularity.

Shane Zylstra has emerged as the Lions # 3 TE.  He was on the Practice Squad until last Saturday.  In the previous 3 games, he was elevated from the P.S.  Zylstra has better receiving abilities than Wright but he's definitely not on LaPorta's level.  Wright is a more effective blocker than Zylstra.  With the heavy emphasis that Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson put on the Lions running game, I think Wright would get more snaps on Offense than Zylstra, regardless of whether LaPorta plays in the game.

I know you're kidding but if the Jags hold them to 20, that would be the biggest miracle of 2024.

They average 35 points a game at home including 42 against Seattle and 52 against the tacks. This game will be a blood bath because the Jags offense will be giving the ball right back after multiple 3 and outs.
