I know I used your post, but was more just referring to the Bledsoe talk, not necessarily @ you.

He's working to get the thread hijacked man. Just let him roll.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

We won't. Too stiff. We'll take a QB with more mobility.

Hey shut up man. I didn't bring up Bledsoe or make the comparisons, I just commented and gave my opinions on the players that someone else brought up.

They will visit with every quarterback. I would be surprised if they took Mettenberger. For some reason, I have a hard time seeing him being the type of QB that Bradley and Caldwell are looking for.

^ You can say the same about Henne and Ricky Stanzi and we just resigned Chad.

I meant more from a personality standpoint not physically.

Quote:So Manziel has a couple drinks and he has bad charecter, Mettenberger does the same and he's just being a kid in college.
Manziel's character flaws are alcoholism, violent temper, inability to handle pressure and questionable priorities off the field.

Metteberger, on the other hand, had a few drinks.

Mettenberger, on the hand, was a little too "handsy".

Just finished watching a couple highlight vids for Mettenberger.  The vid positives are he's got a strong arm and is able to move more than I thought I would see given all the statements about him being a statue.  I didn't like that in just about about every throw (in 15 minutes of cutups), he was locked on one receiver (not going through any progressions), and his release was a little slow (not nearly as slow as Leftwich) and not quite over the top to maximize his height.

Interesting guy to develop.

just going by your words up there, that doesn't sound like a guy I'd want to select higher than a day 3 pick.

yeah met is worse than mallett, i know you like him a lot but mallett even though is a statue could really cut a defense up. met relied on the first read getting open a lot and playing on a loaded team.

but bledsoe...come on, in college he was prolific. a stud on a so so team. even in the nfl in an age before it was a passing league he still put up huge stats. if bledsoe played in this nfl, his numbers would be nuts!

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Quote:Mallett was doing drugs. Mett was kicked off for drinking like every college kid in America does.

Every college kid in America doesn't put his hands on a woman in the matter that Zach Mettenberger did a few years ago.

While there hasn't been any reported incidents since then with Mettenberger,  every team that's considering drafting him needs to do a complete investigation about his character.

Maybe that's why some teams are sending their cheer leaders into the stands. Safety.

Those teams could easily regret the decision sooner rather than later.  Especially with the amount of alcohol consumed at NFL games.

I don't think its fair to say that. His O-Line does him absolutely no favors in pass pro. He does seem to get bailed out by his WRs a ton on multiple throws.

See video.
