It's pretty much a done deal.  There is just too much smoke here to not see the fire.  It's reported in many circles and now Schefter is reporting it.  I think this is a great move to get a new culture here in Jacksonville. An offensive minded coach who has already proven he can fix broken QB's in Mayfield maybe what the doctor orders.  Let us hope he is the play caller as well.

Not that it matters but I am not 100% sold on Coen. I think it's very odd all the 1 year stops. I didn't gain much confidence in the little bit of the presser I watched either, if anything I got inexperienced vibes during it. Will he be bad? I don't know but the Bucs had a good offense before he got there, yes it got better but was that him or the players? Probably both . I'm not saying he will be bad I'm just saying I'm not 100% on him. Also it shouldn't be blamed on Khan if he fails either. These things are to hard to predict. Just do your best and then pray lol.

Yes, the “I’ve never been in this situation before” for him is quite evident.  That and we apparently blew our load on a guy when no one else was banging on his door to hire him.  What matters will be what we see on the field come September, but I do get a sense that there is a distinct possibility that this guy is in way over his head and not ready for this and I’ve never felt that way about any prior hire at the onset.  He’s the youngest HC we’ve ever hired, so that’s definitely a factor.  Hopefully he can command the respect of the locker room and scheme the offense up well enough.  Best of luck Liam.

He's our coach, so you know it's going to flop...we may just have to wait a few years for it all to play out. Tongue

That's the risk you have to take.  You either grab them early, when they have limited experience, or else you wind up choosing from retreads who have a limited ceiling.

Yea, I'd definitely take Coen over Pete Carroll or Gruden!

His approach was the exact opposite of Trent Baalke. That's already a win so far. He just ...needs to work on that chant.

Just got an email invitation from the Jags to attend "Coach Coen's First Duuuval" this Thursday at the stadium at 6PM. LOL. Marketing is trying to erase his real first Duuuval.

For fun, I'd like to see the players in the huddle on week 1 doing the Coen Duval.

I only care about one thing: wins on the field. I don't care about how a guy yells Duval.

Ty Schmitt's take on Pat McAfee Show is objectively funny and will absolutely be a true representation of what the reaction will be if things spiral out of control quickly next season.  I don't believe that's how it will play out, but my "potential disaster ahead "radar definitely got switched on over how this has all played out.

Cant wait to see this offense next season. It will be exciting to see how the jags draft changes if at all. We need a good draft.

I’m a little skeptical about this one. My Jaguar fan gut is telling me all sorts of ways this new regime can go sideways, I’m thinking worse than Mike Mularkey.

It’s time to have a little faith.
