Yes, their energy policy is profoundly stupid. I’m still struggling to understand how the typically sensible Germans so willfully undermined their own economy. Trump telling them it was foolish only succeeded in causing them to redouble their efforts at self-sabotage.

In 2023, 29.7% of Germany's population had a migrant background. Mostly from Ukraine. And yes, they are energy poor because they shut off the nukes.
