I believe you are missing his point. The individuals answers are inconsequential. The US has a screening process which is law.  Illegals bypassed this and under Biden they failed to do this. It is a felony to bypass this. Those that do bypass this are to be returned to their home country and allowed in after this has been done. Summary below.

The US immigration screening process involves several stages to determine an individual's eligibility for entry, including medical examinations, background checks, and interviews. These checks aim to ensure the applicant meets legal requirements and doesn't pose a threat to national security or public health.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
1. Medical Examinations:
  • Purpose:
To screen for medical conditions that may be grounds for inadmissibility under U.S. immigration law.
[*]Content:
May include medical history review, physical examination, chest X-ray, and blood tests for syphilis.
[*]Focus:
Primarily focuses on conditions specified by the U.S. Public Health Service.
[*]Note:
The medical exam is not a complete physical examination and does not provide diagnosis or treatment for conditions outside the scope of immigration screening.
2. Background and Security Checks:
  • Purpose:
To verify an applicant's identity, check for criminal history, and assess any potential national security risks.
[*]Checks:
May include fingerprint checks with the FBI, name checks with the FBI, and inter-agency checks.
[*]Duration:
Processing times can vary, with FBI fingerprint checks potentially taking 24-48 hours, while FBI name checks can take 30-120 days.
[*]Biometric checks:
These may include checks against criminal history and previous immigration data.
3. Interviews:
  • Purpose:
To evaluate the applicant's credibility and assess whether their claims are consistent with their case file and country conditions.
  • Process:
Conducted by USCIS officers, who may also collect fingerprints and photographs.
  • Re-interviews:
May be conducted if new information or fingerprint results raise questions.
4. Final Processing and Decision:
  • Conditional Approval:
Once all security checks and medical screenings are cleared, a refugee's application may be conditionally approved.
  • Final Approval:
The conditional approval becomes final after all checks are cleared, and the applicant is approved for resettlement.
  • Cultural Orientation:
Refugees may be offered cultural orientation to prepare them for resettlement in the U.S.

No, you're both missing my point.
What if I don't have any ID on me? What if the government thinks the ID I offer them is fake? What if I passed all the screenings initially, but now they suspect that I lied to them about some part of it? None of this stuff is as simple as it sounds.

Sure it is for people that investigate for a living. Of all the people detained I can only think of one or two that were not illegally here. This was corrected pretty fast too. Your doing your best to make something easy sound difficult. Nice try, but you cannot even believe the poop your spouting now.

PS. Also this was not the topic....it shifted. The illegal "Maryland man" is quite a poor choice of a hill to die on.

If you don't insist a justice system that lets even the least sympathetic people have real trials before you imprison them, soon you will have a justice system that will imprison even the most sympathetic people.

Ok so let me get this straight. We went from the Maryland man, to what happens if someone lies to immigration about being a citizen. Now back to having compassion for an illegal that has:
been in front of immigration 2x and denied asylum,
MS-13 tattooed on his knuckles (and other gang tattoos)
Had 2 domestic abuse issues (new video released showing wife begging for protection you should see it)
Caught driving without a license transporting 6-8men north in his boss's car.
His boss is a convicted human trafficker.
Had other MS-13 members say he is in their gang and a higher up at that.

Yea the goal posts are on casters...

This is the hill you want to die on? I call that weak sauce...he is not a US citizen. He does not have the rights of a citizen. He is a guest here and has broken the law a few times. He has been returned to his home country and they have done what they believe protects their people. I didn't imprison him hie home country did. They could have just as easily released him into their population...dude, get real. Are you being obtuse for a reason or just trolling?

Got a Withhold order from a sympathetic judge because of the likelihood that he'll be killed by the other El Salvadoran gang, Barrio-18, if he goes back home.

Doesn't surprise me.  We have law that prohibit race, sex and sexual preference being used in evaluations. Seems that is all the liberals care about using these days. Although the Democrats have a history of this as they were instrumental in forming the KKK. The Republicans are the party of Lincoln.

Unlike you I do have links!
I will even summarize!
Neither of us are judges, it's true, and this is not a courtroom. But I can easily refer you to a proceeding that happened about this case in a real courtroom with real judges, in fact they were the nine most powerful judges in this entire country, and seven of them agreed with my point of view, that it was not proper to remove that man to El Salvador the way they did, at the time they did. Three of the seven were appointed by your guy!

Ok, but the Dissent was correct. Just because the USSC said something doesn't make it right, it only makes it the opinion of that Court, which is why the co-equal Executive Branch can rightly tell them to blow it out their robes.

Why do we need to give them the opportunity to choose deportation destinations when they've entered illegally?  We're not running a Club Med here.

Of course I understand it requires a trial to imprison someone in the US. That's one of our key values. It's the fifth amendment and it's the 14th amendment.
Of course I understand that we can't control what happens in El Salvador.
But when we deport someone, we get to choose where they go. If we choose to send them somewhere that will imprison them without trial, that choice is violating their fifth and 14th amendment rights.
And I did not say we should give them the opportunity to choose where they go. Choose is not the word I used. I said plead. If they have a specific reason to want to go to one city and not another, that's something we should consider, but only within reason. The place we send them has to accept them, also.
So as much as we want to be a big swinging [BLEEP] and just say these people aren't our problem anymore, when you load somebody onto a bus or a plane, you are responsible for them, at least for a while.

Illegal immigrants only have protection under the 5th and 14th from imprisonment in the U.S.  We cannot and should not be responsible for the criminal justice systems in other countries.  If an illegal doesn't want to take the risk of deportation to his/her country of origin, perhaps he/she should not come here.

Forget what the Leftist media is telling you to believe and think it through on your own for once and tell me where your argument ends.   We offer trial by jury; can we deport to a country that holds trial by judge?  What's the definition of due process and who offers it to our standards?  Does Italy qualify?  Amand Knox would say no.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Lol no.  If the executive can defy the court, then why have a court? Co-equal means the two have authority over each other in different ways.  It does not mean that the one gets to ignore the other.

Finally you're asking the real questions!
It may not always be clear cut which countries offer due process to criminals and which don't.  While a jury is a key part of our system, most of the world uses Napoleonic based systems that don't rely on juries.  Napoleonic systems can easily be corrupted, but so can jury based systems, most famously in the Jim Crow South.  Suppose there was a foreign country operating somewhere on earth that was an exact copy of Mississippi in the 1930s. It might be OK to deport a white person back to such a place, but not a black person.  We would have to judge it case by case, we would have to develop guidelines.
It's above my pay grade, and it's above yours.
Immigration judges work on this stuff every day and they know what to do.

Trump orders feds to reopen Alcatraz to house 'America’s most ruthless and violent' criminals
Trump says, 'REBUILD, and OPEN ALCATRAZ!'

President Donald Trump is calling for the notorious prison and now historical landmark, Alcatraz, in San Francisco, California, to be rebuilt larger and reopened to house the country’s most ruthless and violent criminals.

Trump made the announcement in a Truth Social post on Sunday evening.

"REBUILD, AND OPEN ALCATRAZ!" the president said. "For too long, America has been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat Criminal Offenders, the dregs of society, who will never contribute anything other than Misery and Suffering.
