Barkley would have been a top 5 pick in the entire draft had he declared the year before his drafting.

All things being equal - maybe... but if you design that player to catch short passes where he can determine where he wants to go (ie, avoid contact, run out of bounds, etc), then I don't see it as that big of a deal.

 

Sanders is going to be used in those ways.  He won't get too many crossing patterns over the middle where he has to go up and get it... His sole purpose is to take a 5 yard pass and make it a 10-15 yard gain.
