The Dems are upset as they do not want the scams to cease. Like Copycat said is easy unless you have an agenda. what is yours ?

And now you're talking about a one time event.
Even if that story is accurate, that money is not being wasted that way anymore.
You guys are smarter than this.

Why are you so desperate to minimize the accomplishments of the Trump administration, while simultaneously defending the fraud, waste, and impropriety initiated and perpetuated by the Left?

Well, if you have never had to operate a large business these issues seem insurmountable. The solution, convince everyone else it is just that to cover for your own lack of understanding. OR  Your agenda is to run the company into the dirt to make it easier for someone to execute a hostile takeover.  Kind of like Newsome in California. They had like a 100 billion surplus when he took office. Now as he has approaches the end of his last allowable term (due to term limits) in office they are 50 billion in the hole. Believe it or not he accomplished what he set out to do.

I'm watching some of the coverage of the riots in LA, Chicago and New York. The MSM is attempting to portray this as a movement among the American people for a valiant fight for illegal immigrant rights. In truth, most of these people are nothing more than street punks and paid agitators looking for an opportunity to assault law enforcement.

Keep digging your hole, lefties.

Trump calling in the National Guard in California while Newsom and Bass are doing what the Left do, meaning nothing.  They'll watch the city burn, and their own police forces come under attack before supporting the Federal government, or safeguarding the lives and property of their own LEGAL citizens and property owners.

Well, actually they need cash in a bad way so they will after this be soliciting for Federal funds to cover it. They will use the funds for other purposes after they get them.

I am just doing math. No more than addition subtraction and multiplication.
If you think that is minimizing Trump, that is just what the numbers say.
If you think that is defending fraud, you are delusional. Numbers are just numbers. They are big or small. They do not defend or prosecute anyone

Because he's the same leftist he's been for the last 7 years on here?

LOL...so you must need a remedial math lesson. OR You could be like the CBO and say the existing tax cuts (not the new ones) which have been in effect since they past them under Trump will cost an additional 4 trillion. I believe those are being double counted.

I have a feeling that Gavin Newsom is about to find out what happens when you F around.........

Bessent condemns Newsom's 'dangerous' threat to withhold $80B in federal taxes amid trans athlete controversy
Scott Bessent calls Democrat governor's plan to withhold federal taxes 'extremely reckless' amid transgender athlete dispute

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has accused California's Gov. Gavin Newsom of threatening to commit tax evasion after he threatened to stop paying the "over $80 BILLION" in taxes the state pays to the federal government.

Newsom's threat comes amid President Donald Trump's vow to impose large-scale fines on the state of California for allowing a biological male to compete in girls' sports and win multiple state titles.

"A Biological Male competed in California Girls State Finals, WINNING BIG, despite the fact that they were warned by me not to do so," Trump wrote on Truth Social last week. "As Governor Gavin Newscum fully understands, large scale fines will be imposed!"

Newsome is in a pickle. When he took office California had a 100 billion dollar surplus. Now as he leaves office he finds them in a 50 billion dollar plus deficit. He was hoping the burning down of the town would bail him out, but Trump wasn't fooled and had the Feds perform services to help. He didn't give him cash. Now he is getting desperate, how can he run for President with that financial performance? .

Newsom is in the same conundrum with the rest of the Democrats in that they blew their wad during Meat Puppet's administration. The MSM, corporate, academia, and social media platforms, headed by leftist elites, were falling over themselves to do their bidding in the belief that the country was truly changing forever to looney leftism. They massively overplayed their hand and now the bill is due. They have no other strategy than to double down on the tactics which turned the country against them. They are completely bereft of any new ideas or strategies and are unwilling to seek new ones because they are still in disbelief that the methodologies which garnered them so much power and influence a few short years ago are now unpopular with a majority of Americans.

Additionally, the corruption and malfeasance which aided them in their seizure of power is now coming to light.

The Dems will have to come back to the center if they ever wish to be relevant again. Sadly, it looks as if most are still unwilling to effect that change.

Well, one thing that is a positive .... the people arrested will have plenty of time to have their day in court. Any felonies will subtract one liberal vote from mid terms... These are federal charges do the DA cannot impact if they are prosecuted...

Renewing them past 2027 adds more to the deficit.  It's just counting, not double counting.

They are in the economy currently. They are not an additional drag. I can see the one way street developing on this topic, so believe what you want, but they have been off by over 100% multiple times. Be fun to watch and see.

They are in the economy currently and each year they stay in, the federal government collects less revenue than it would have otherwise.
Whether the economy grows or shrinks is an uncertain, multivariate, second order effect.
Whether the tax bill is higher when the rate is 30% instead of 25% is a certain, single variable, first order effect.  You're missing the trees for the forest.  You're smarter than this.

LOL So the CBO said the initial tax cuts those we are enjoying now would produce a 4 trillion dollar deficit during Trumps first term. Now to extend them will be another 4 trillion. You do understand the CBO was way, way off and they actually produced a tax surplus the first time? They also were way, way off the other way on the Inflation reduction act. They actually said it would reduce the deficit by 250 or so billion. Actually it added a metric butt load to the deficit. If you want to be taken seriously you may want to not side with those guys. They are masters at lying with numbers. Your getting pretty good too !
