1st Annual Bacon National Food Festival in St. Augustine

#21

Quote:It's extremely unhealthy and will clog your arteries with a plaque like substance which can lead to heart disease, stroke or cardiac arrest.. That said, it's bacon.. Even the health nuts can't resist and I wish I could go cause I'd eat my weight in the stuff, or die trying..
Probably the "die trying" part, but yeah, this is the first time I've felt any real desire to go back to Jacksonville since leaving it behind for good a few years back.

Quote:Hope they don't crazy like the shrimpfest up in Fernandina!
I can almost guarantee it.

What is wrong with 7 shrimp for 10 dollars?

I love that Fernandina Shrimpfest.. It's like a mini Mardi Gras.. Eat your weight in shrimp, listen to some live music and float from bar to bar..

Arrrrgh.  There still be Pirates and Monster's in Fernandina.

Ya'll come up once a year.

I find it wonderful to need no excuse to wander from the Palace, to Salty's, to whatever and finish the morning off at the Hammerhead.

Yo Ho, a Pirate's Life for Me.

HeadSlap

When they have no time,  they think about it!

When they go down hard, they think about it!

Just watch Peyton, Andrew, Caep even Mr. Bundchen.

Nope, never been to Mardi Gras. Have friends that went and heard stories. I kinda picture it the same only with 10000x more people and lots more disorderly conduct haha

But as for me, I just go there and drink and eat shrimp. There's this really cool Irish Pub, forget the name of it, but I always end up in there with a pint and listening to folk music, really cool atmosphere..

NO is a cool city, I haven't been there for Mardi Gras but I did go there for Halloween last year. ~16 idiot Batmans descended upon Bourbon Street, fun times.

I just read that this festival fizzled because most of the vendors ran out of bacon in two hours.

Yeah, heard the same thing. Still, it's a good day in St. Augustine.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
