I just read that this festival fizzled because most of the vendors ran out of bacon in two hours.

They ran low for a few hours. Back up and running full go after that yesterday. I had a friend there. He said no one knew there was a shortage or that anyone may have run out.

I was going to go but changed my mind when I saw on twitter that they ran out of bacon which is crazy at a bacon festival. Maybe they didn't think that many people would show up. At least they know how much bigger they need to make things for next year.

 

Having said that, I'm ready to go up to the Shrimp Festival.

Yeah, it was the first event of its kind.  No doubt they've learned their lessons and will come back strong with plenty of bacon options at the ready.
