Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Yeah, it's pretty bad.

Yeah this offseason has made it drag,

Logan Thomas should be happy though the extra month seems to have pushed him up 2 rounds Wink

@RossTuckerNFL: Hearing whispers about NFL Draft being a week LATER next year. Gosh I hope not.

I always feel like this when it's super close. I'm just sick of hearing all of the same rehashed stuff over and over and over.

I mean, I love reading about the players and perusing their draft profiles and such, but I'll never understand why I allow myself to read people's arguments over who should go where. It's just beyond inane but I let myself witness it anyway.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I think that is why I like the Combine. It's early enough in the process that the foolishness has not set in yet.

I love to watch college football. I am talking all conference, different levels. Part of the enjoyment is in identifying players I think will be good fits in the NFL. And I like watching the draft. But the in between can be unbearable.

Yep, same here. I don't even really like Pro Days all that much since it just feels like gymnastics practice instead of football. Everything after the Combine until the Commish walks up to the podium is 'silly season' to me.

Agreed.

This nonsense about Bridgewater sliding as much as he has in some mocks is all tied to what he did in a pro day performance that was sub-par.  If teams are leaning on that as the reason for him dropping the way he has, they're making a huge mistake.

It's interesting how everyone says pro days rarely impact a player in a negative way, and only help to bolster draft status.  Then you see something like Bridgewater and the free fall his draft stock has taken because of a bad performance.  It makes little sense.  The media is certainly swayed by these things, but I think most GMs have seen enough game film, and had their individual workouts with players to get a sense for what they're dealing with.

If front offices are showing such wild fluctuations in draft position for certain players, it's clear they're just over analyzing things now with the extra 2 weeks to contemplate their decisions.  I really think most teams have their boards set for a while, or they're darn close, and the only changes that are happening are in the media as they all look for a way to throw enough mocks together to possibly get it as close to right as possible.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
