No.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Exactly.  They reduced the number of regular season home games to 7 and my ticket prices didn't even go down.

You'd think people brining In their own food would drive down demand and force them to lower prices

Yeah, that didn't happen.  Quite the opposite.

Since they changed that rule, we rarely bring anything (my wife may bring something snacky) and we've bought food there more often than we did before.  It makes no sense how that happened for us, but good for the Jags.

Their food options have gotten a lot better.  I just saw they are introducing a chicken and waffle sandwich with cole slaw.

Everbank was the lead story of the 2nd section of the Colbert Report last night and was mocked for these changes...  On the surface, I can see where folks from big cities would mock attempts to improve stadiums especially in NY where they just had a Billion dollars spent on a new football stadium that most people hate... They mocked the pirate ship in Tampa...  Let's see who has the last laugh...

If people in NY are looking down on it, we're doing something right.

Quote:Not at all $50 parking figure $150 in food I was buying for all four at the time and then id have 6-7 beers at $8 a pop that's what another $60-70 buck it adds up.

So I've been going to games for years and I gotta call shenanigans on the $300 thing.

Parking - $30 at most

Food per person - $10 to $20, four heads then is $80 at most

We are up to $110 now meaning you spent nearly $200 on alcohol.  I don't buy beer in the stadium since it is so overpriced, and you were 19 or 20 so you weren't buying beer either.  But let's say you did and let's say beer is $10 per, that's 20 brewskis my man.

2004 I would've been 19 so by the time our 3 year pack was up I was 22, that last year I know we where spending that much. I know because the following year was the year my girlfriend got pregnant and we made drastic life style changes. One of the things we gave up was the Season tickets, we sat down that year and looked at how much we spent going to the games and figured with the baby on the way we couldn't keep going.

Maybe it was closer to 250 than 300, the point is the same for 240 it's a ridiculous deal if they've included food and drinks to the game.

You know, media scrutiny used to sting.. It just doesn't anymore. Not because I'm used to the sting, but because I know this team is heading in the right direction by leaps and bounds.. Colbert is just another guy at the end of the day, who'll have egg on his face.

I'm pretty sure Colbert is just reading off a teleprompter.  No skin off his back as he does his little schtick.

Did anyone see this rant?

Anytime you're doing something that hasn't been done before, like pools at a football stadium, you're vulnerable to ridicule.  I thought his jokes were all fair.  So my feelings weren't hurt.

Anybody else? Does this video hurt anyone's feelings around here?

My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

I thought the jokes were pretty funny....it's an easy shot because our team hasn't been very good.

They added two pools, cabanas, and the largest screens in the world to get publicity.  Colbert just gave it to us for free.  I'm in a sports forum on Facebook with mostly people from NY...and even they were talking about it.

Jags marketing wins.
