I went to watch the ESPN Gametracker and they blocked it here at work. Come on man! I have my phone, but its easier to pull it up on the computer.

It's a spray can the ref carries in his back pocket which he can use the mark the distance the wall of defenders has to stand from the spot of a free kick. Speaking as someone who always found the inching forward of the wall at every free kick incredibly annoying it is a welcome addition to the game.

I doubt it's going to happen but I really hope Croatia draws level. They deserve better than a loss.

If Brazil plays like that past the group phase they won't last long. Germany or Spain is going to destroy that defense.

Ahh very good idea.

I caught the part where Brazil got the penalty kick.  What a hose job.  If you are going to give them a penalty kick, there is no way that guy deserved a yellow card.

I'm with you. At times it was very, very porous.

Plenty of time for Brazil to improve though, this was the nervy first game against a surprisingly handy Croatian team. Three points in the bag, move on.

The ref and poor goalkeeping gave them the win though.

Hay is in the barn at this point, and once that first whistle to max five minutes into the game comes nerves are gone. Heck, both teams have to deal with that.

Now time for some games where we don't know what will happen.

I think Mexico takes out Cameroon, Spain and Netherlands draw, and Australia scraps and claws for 75 minutes but loses in the end to Chile.

1 for 1 . . . and that scoreline should have been much worse.

Lots of would-be goals negated by offsides for Mexico in that game but Peralta was clutch. I think the rain made things a little sloppy.
