Don't put words in my mouth. I didn't compare Geno Smith's game to Tim Tebow's. I'm comparing people overrating 4th quarter comebacks.

You hate Geno just admit it.

I'm pretty sure hailtoyourvictor believes Stephen Morris is better than Jeno Smiff.

I really don't. My good friend roomed with Geno during New York's training camp and said he is a great guy.

What I do hate is people calling me an idiot for disagreeing with them about Geno being worth the #2 overall pick.

What I do hate is those who exhale saying "you can't judge Geno off his draft plummet or off his first four games" and then with their next breathe they crown Geno after his first impressive NFL game.

Stephen Morris will be drafted higher in a loaded QB class than Geno Smith was in a trash QB class. I'm not alone in thinking there are a handful of 2014 QBs, including Morris, that are better than Geno Smith.

*edited for typo of typing Shane Morris (Michigan true freshman) not Stephen Morris (QB who I'd rather have than Geno Smith).*

Morris sucks. Every QB in the league with a game won in the NFL is better than any current college QB with 0 NFL wins. The real question is can they be better when they get in the league. You can say some are better than he was while he was at WVU but you're smoking something saying stupid stuff like that. Sorry. And he may not have been worth the 2 pick but an OL sure as heck wasn't by a long shot.

Once again, semantics. Let me rephrase... I believe Stephen Morris will be a better pro than Geno Smith.

If somebody asked me who I'd rather have, right now, Teddy Bridgewater or Geno Smith, I'd say Teddy Bridgewater. That, to me, means he is better.

Regardless, semantics.

Also, I said Shane Morris when I meant Stephen Morris. *Michigan on my mind*.

You seriously think Stephen Morris will get drafted in the 4th round or earlier?

Top 36 is a big stretch for Morris, I'll admit that. 4th round or higher, though? Yes absolutely. You honestly think he will fall to the 5th round?

He would be lucky to sign as an undrafted free agent.

Let's have a little bet. I'll give you some odd. If Morris from The U gets drafted anywhere in the first 4 rounds, I'll create a Morris avatar and a forum signature with anything you want it to say. But if Morris is drafted in the 5th round or later/go undrafted, you'd change your avatar to Geno Smith and create a forum signature.

Deal?

What impressed me the most about Geno Smith is the way he rebounded from his numerous bad decisions in the Jets previous game in Tennessee.    On top of that,  he stayed poised after the Falcons went ahead 28-27.    Easier said than done on the road in a loud dome.    I can't recall the Falcons even coming close to an Interception last night.     Geno Smith's natural ability certainly was on the display as well.

Having said all of this,   the Falcons have been hit hard by injuries on both sides of the ball.      They were fortunate to have a chance late in the game against New England,   after being badly outplayed most of the game.       In their current state,   the Falcons look nothing like a team that was a # 1 seed two out of the last three seasons and came close to reaching the Super Bowl in the 2012 season.        It's not a good sign when one of your best players is going to retire at the end of the season.     Replacing Tony Gonzalez effectively is going to be very difficult.      Even in a division with two other teams that are a combined 1-7,    right now the season looks bleak for the Falcons unless they get healthy in a hurry.

Oh wait.
Who said that defense doesn't matter? Do you really think you're the only one that knows this?

If you are still here come draft time, sure.

You have got to be trolling. Find me any draft source that has Stephen Morris going undrafted. Not only do you think he will be undrafted, you think he will be lucky to even sign as and UDFA. I have not seen a single draft source (and I've looked at a lot) predict Morris go undrafted.

There are a handful of QBs better than Morris. Don't kid yourself. And lest you forget dude got shut down by the Gators in the second half.
