As no surprise, Jozy has been ruled out of Sunday's match vs Portugal.

If the US wins or ties against Portugal I'd imagine he sits Germany as well.  I thought that injury was going to be much much worse.  Surprised there may even be a chance.

Lol...I love these flops and then purposely stay down pretendi g to be injured in soccer. Does anyone know how the extra time work?

The Ivory Coast player botched that perfect set up near the end.

It's ridiculous. Columbia players would just sit on the ground like they just got sniped when there was little contact. Ivory Coast players went down when it was actually a legit foul.

Something has to be done.  It takes away from the legitimacy of the game.

Fines/suspensions need to be implemented.

So Serey Die, the Ivory Coast midfielder that was seen crying during their national anthem, apparently lost his dad two hours before the match, and still played for his country.

Rooney FINALLY scores his first World Cup goal and put England even with Uruguay.

And then Gerard screws up and Suarez puts home his second goal.

Ok, it was a difficult group, but some of England's play has been unbelievably bad.

And our tactics seemed to be to play every attacking midfielder in England through the middle and our two strikers out wide. Baffling.

Sad

Can I be a USA fan now?

kinda shocked that Spain and England are out even though i didnt expect much from England... but Spain is a shocker... we will see how the US does against Portugal, im kinda thinkin they may come out swingin after they got wrecked my Germany... Belgium is still my second favorite, i dont think they are gonna much of a prob getting out of the group.

England isn't mathematically eliminated yet.

they have to beat costa and have italy beat costa and uruguay... doesnt sound that bad but i think even if they get three points the goal +/- will hurt em... would be crazy if they escape the group with only 3 points.... i still cant believe costa beat uruguay... i know suarez is good but i thought cavani would pick up the slack while he was out.

Either stop calling/carding contact fouls unless you actually see exactly what happened or have replay installed so the refs can look and see if it was a flop or legit penalty. If it deemed to be a flop, then the flopping player is ejected immediately from the game and then serves a 1 game suspension the very next game, thereby forfeiting his next game paycheck.

If a player chalks up a certain # of flops, then he gets suspended 3 games or something like that.

If the league gets tough and firm on stopping flopping, they will cut it down drastically.

I doubt that will ever happen though, because flopping is just part of the game.

I sure would like to see it though.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

i know it... diving and time wasting should be reviewable and finable,.. hate watching a manager use subs just because the guy is on the other side of the field and walks all the way across... or when they lay on the ground for 3 min and call out team doctors to help take their shoe off only to be running around 30sec later... u could stop time wasting simply by stoppin the clock when the ball is not in play...but the diving sucks royally...ive found its a little less prevalent in English and German soccer, but its really bad in south/central american and spainish soccer... it really hurts the game... if they handed out fines the way they do in the NFL i bet it would stop immediately.

it definitely is not part of the game... ima a chelsea fan and i loved Drogba when he was there, but he is bad about diving... i lost alot of respect for that guy when i watched him dive about 10 time against arsenal a few years back.... he literally didnt even try when he got in the box, it was like he looked for a person to run into and fall as soon as he crossed the white paint.
