World Cup. 

 

Just like more people will watch hockey in this country in the olympics than normally. 

 

 

I know soccer fan in this country desperately wants their sport to be big time, but I just don't ever seeing it ever becoming what they hope it will. 

 

Also not sure why people in this country apparently have an identity crisis that they would rather embrace other countries traditional sports than our own. Baseball & Football have a vast tradition built here. Embrace it. 

 

 

The US - Germany game was dogmeat, flat out dogmeat. 

 

Anyone who claims otherwise is flat out lying or needs their head examined. 

Other countries embrace our sports as well. Baseball, basketball for example. What is wrong with that exactly?

All these people at the World Cup in Brazil did they buy packages to ALL the games or do they have to buy tickets to each individual game?

 

I saw somewhere that some tickets were going for 3k for this last game. 

 

I know a girl there and she was looking for tickets all the way up until today.  Not sure if she got them.

Who said it was a good game?  Nobody.....each team knew what they had to do to move on, and thats what happened.

Ok, it was not an exciting game... other than the fact that everything was on the line.

 

So?  Have you seen a Jaguars game lately?  They aren't the greatest either, but that doesn't mean I cant like football anymore.

Die hard fans of the sport, sure you do. I am friends with many people who wish wrestling would become the #1 sport in the country. Why? Because they are passionate about it, love it, and want it to be what people embrace. That is far from unusual.

 

I personally think it irritates you that the sport has actually grown to the point where it is becoming relevant and mainstream.
