Quote:The only people I see who are angry are those who are part of the start Bortles now crowd. Who are the start Bortles now crowd? Not one single person has said that. You're not resorting to TMD style making stuff up are you? Seeing as you were stooping to minor insults such as questioning my ability to read, I'm guessing you were getting a little annoyed. Or its just the standard FBT 'You so dum' arguments. Its hard to tell sometimes. Quote:Just to be different, Bortles.
Quote:Who are the start Bortles now crowd? Not one single person has said that. You're not resorting to TMD style making stuff up are you?I've seen more than a few posters call for Bortles to start. I think they've backed off but they are there.. Lurking in the dark.. Creeping.. Waiting for Henne to throw a interception..
Quote:Jimmy Smith didn't want to do that line of coke, but he did, and then you didn't get what you wanted.shame because given two years or so he could have probably cracked a 1,000 receptions which would have been a heck if a feat (statistically at least).
I remember an early interview with Blaine and he was asked what was the main lesson being taught and what he had learned so far. In summary he replied the coaches had stressed ALWAYS throwing the ball away if under pressure, never take a sack or throw an interception trying to force a throw if a receiver is covered.
I knew he was going to have a hard time with that Mularkey mindset. So a lot depends on the coaches when he does start, whether this year or next, will they let him play his game? If not it doesn't matter how long he holds a clipboard, they have to let the talent use the skills that got them there. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Very true.

Quote:I've seen more than a few posters call for Bortles to start. I think they've backed off but they are there.. Lurking in the dark.. Creeping.. Waiting for Henne to throw a interception.. Funny how adept people are at reading between the lines on an internet message board and seeing things nobody has said, but when it comes to reading between the lines on what a coach says, its all black and white. Almost like people make up what they want to see and hear. From where I'm sitting it looks like some people are content to see how everything plays out and everyone else has put their blinkers on to the real world and is saying he must sit at all costs, no questions asked with almost religious zeal. The overwhelming majority here are simply reiterating what the head coach and GM have said repeatedly. He'll start when he's ready. They won't rush him into the starting role before that's the case. There are those posters who somehow think that translates to "Unless Henne sucks" in some fashion. Let's talk about reading between the lines things that were never said or even implied, shall we? Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You're not resorting to TMD style making stuff up are you? Seriously? We've seen them here in any one of the multiple Bortles threads in this very forum. It's not the standard "you so dum" argument. It's more along the lines of you're very selective in what you want to see. Maybe it's reading comprehension? Or, maybe you're willfully ignoring it. The fact that you deny they exist tells me you've got your head pretty firmly imbedded somewhere. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Seriously? The fact that you are refusing to accept any possibility that there may be the odd shade of gray that wasn't mentioned in something an NFL coach said 2 months ago suggests you are extremely naive. Quote:Just to be different, Bortles. Quote:The fact that you are refusing to accept any possibility that there may be the odd shade of gray that wasn't mentioned in something an NFL coach said 2 months ago suggests you are extremely naive. Not naive at all. Simply recognizing the fact that the odds of Henne playing so badly that they'd be forced to rush Bortles in are slim to none. I know you're hoping and praying for it, but I think you're bound to be disappointed. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I know you're hoping and praying for it, but I think you're bound to be disappointed. That sounds suspiciously like a TMD style 'lets just make something up again' post. Been visiting any Jersey glitter bars recently? Oh lookie here, looks like we have a slight shift, a minor acknowledgement that there may be shades of gray in this black and white world we live in. I'd point you to the post where I said almost exactly the same thing a few pages ago, but you would probably read something I never wrote and tell me how much I want Bortles to start. In fact I will post it. Just for funises.
Quote:I agree he is way better than Gabbert which is why its a perfectly good idea to rely on him and he should continue where he left off last year. I'm not saying its a bad plan, I'm not even saying Bradley isn't/wasn't telling the truth. What I am saying is that what an NFL coach says to the media is a) subject to change should the situation dictate and B) not the full, whole, uncut story with every variable and situation covered. Quote:Just to be different, Bortles. Quote:Seriously? Not to mention the Henne threads... He's laughably putting his head in the sand on this one. Must be easier than simply admitting he's wrong on this one.

Quote:Not to mention the Henne threads... I was talking about this thread, where nobody has said anything like that. If you can find 3 people with over 1000 posts who are explicitly saying Bortles should start day 1 - not 'there should be an open competition', not 'Bortles should be able to beat Henne out', not 'there is no reason to sit a rookie QB', not 'if he doesn't beat out Henne he sucks' - you can have my signature for a week. Quote:Just to be different, Bortles. Quote:That sounds suspiciously like a TMD style 'lets just make something up again' post. Been visiting any Jersey glitter bars recently? The funny thing here is you think I've been making some sort of absolute declaration about something when that's simply not true. You accuse me of glitter boy tactics, but that's precisely the kind of maneuver he would use trying to paint it as a black/white prediction when that's not the case at all. Feel free to point out where I said that Bortles not starting until he's absolutely ready without making any qualifications. Even in this thread, I've made more than one acknowledgement that injury could certainly contribute to an early start for him, even if he's not ready. Keep on twisting it diva style. You're making him really proud. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Now you're throwing all sorts of qualifiers in there to cover your posterior. Another typical dog whimperer maneuver. I should check your IP to see if you're an alternate account he created so he'd have a friend or two on here. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:So you think that a Blane Gabbert 2013 level of performance would be tolerated from Chad Henne all season? Quote:Yes. Quote:Just to be different, Bortles.
That's your great indictment?
Thud. Congrats, Diva Jr. Daddy must be just beaming like new glitter. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
