Geno.

You don't honestly believe this, do you?

Quote:If you are still here come draft time, sure.
Ohh trust me, I'll be here. So let's make it official.

1. If Morris is drafted in the first four rounds, then I'll upload a picture of Morris for my avatar and create a forum signature to your liking.

2. But if Morris is drafted later in the fifth round or lower/go undrafted, you'll have to upload a picture of Geno Smith for your avatar and a forum signature to my liking.

3. The avatar and forum signature will have to be in the loser's account for a year (from 2014 to 2015 NFL draft). Of course, the signature will have to be appropriate for the forum -- nothing explicit or disrespectful personal attack.

If you agree then quote this and reply so we can make this fun little bet official.

1 good game and some of you act like he is gonna be a HOF lol typical jags fans.

I admit Geno looked really good last night and he may become a decent QB but Caldwell did the right thing passing on him with the 2nd pick overall (that's already a fact since he was drafted in the second), was it a mistake passing on him with the #33? maybe.

I doubt Geno wins a SB or becomes a top 5 QB.

BTW, I am pretty sure we will be more happy with Teddy next year than if we would have taken Geno this year.

People said be was going to the hof?

We all will be. Geno was a Tannehill level talent but Teddy is a notch or two below luck.

Just for the record, I was all for drafting Geno if Caldwell felt he was "the guy."  In hindsight, I'm glad we passed on him because I think Geno at qb gives the Jags one extra win this year, at least.

Our consolation prize is Teddy.

Yes. Think big. I am sure in 2011, there were some Redskins fans complaining the team passed on Andy Dalton.

I'm pretty sure they are super glad they didn't listen to the pundit and take the QB prospect at the #10 spot. *wink, wink*

There are definitely a handful of Good QBs on this class. It is loaded. To make comments like "Morris will be lucky to be and undrafted signee" is asinine though.

MoJo, I retracted my "top 36" statement, but I think it's foolish to consider Morris a 5th round, at best, QB.

Shangster, I don't think I can quote from my phone so I will later.

I would like to amend the bet to go from 2014 draft to 2014-2015 opening kick. That way we can support our teams during the season, still.

Only 4 months, huh? For draft purposes, I guess that make sense. OK. Bet is officially on!

So... taking a QB at #33 doesn't sound all that bad, huh?

What I think we have learned from this thread?  To let things play out.  He is a rookie.  He has had some bad games and some good games.  Go figure.

As D6 mentioned, he looked poised.  He didn't get rattled and made a huge drive for the come back win.  That is impressive especially for a rookie.

He has a big arm.  Man, he threw some rockets in that game.

He isn't relying on his mobility.  He was looking down field to make throws on most occasions.

We shall see.  He is definitely an interesting prospect at this point.

It does if the QB has top talent unlike last years draft.  You still on the Clowney bandwagon?

he good.  he'll get better, if he stays healthy.  the biggest issue i see with geno is that how will he handle a new regime being installed once rex goes away.  the multiple OC/HC condition can delay or remove the realization of potential of a young QB.
