How Good Can Chris Smith Be?

#21

Dee Ford has almost the same move at Auburn. He had several off-sides and more game saving sacks that I have seen from a player in awhile. Above post says Manning will get him to jump and I agree with this. The speed rush move is impressive though and could be a real weapon early in the year before teams have film on him.

If they are game planning for the 8th guy in our rotation then we have hit the jackpot!!!

Quote:Anyone who comes off the ball so fast that he leaves you wondering how the refs missed the offsides penalty is going to have a future in the league.

I like how Gus wants him to play INSIDE.  If the kid can time snaps and explode like that, then having him inside will be pure havoc!  What a great player and skill set for the lightning package.

Agree fully.

It's quite amazing how many of guys we have now that we have legitimate hopes for.

He looks kind of Freeney-esque to me. If Smith is half the player of Dwight Freeney I will be happy.

When we drafted him and I watched his games back at Arkansas I though he would be a solid player for us. But after seeing NFL action he looks like he may top player for our team. I see a lot of Robert Mathis in him
