Geno.

Vince Young looked good as a rookie too. Superstar QB they said... give it some time and put film up. The Jets are playing good defense when they want to.

No pain, no gain.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

We can't get a QB with pick #33 in an absolutely loaded QB class (general opinion), but a QB everyone here believes a QB that dropped to #36 in a trash QB class is a franchise QB.

You really can't have it both ways, guys.

This is acceptable, if there wasn't such a dazzling QB prospect available at the top of the draft (aka Bridgewater)..

Did it ever occur to you that:

#1. That QB dropped because of the draft class expected for this year

#2. That some people don't believe it's as incredibly deep as you do

#3. That even with depth that the QB you want might be taken before your next pick, and before you can trade up

#4. That some people want the best QB prospect rather than a good prospect in the 2nd and someone else in the 1st

Every one of those things makes complete sense to me. I'm just trying to get some consistency with some posters on here that are all over the place, changing their philosophies to meet their agendas.

I never doubted GENO.

That would be me.

Quote:Wait, the guy that said "hahahha suckas!" About Geno having a good game use to preach for Bray?

Hahahhahaha sucka.
I'm not explaining myself to someone who rejoiced at a #2 overall pick for an OL.

I get it now. Geno is black. Vince is black. So of course the parallel HAS to be there. Brilliant sir. Mind = blown.

Still plays bad against good defense's just like college.

Most rookie QB's do. So far, he has shown promise which is what you want to see in the 1st year.

Certainly shown 10 x what gabbert ever did and its not even close.

He has 3 career wins right now not even halfway into his rookie season. Gabbert has 5 career wins period.

Geno threw for 300 yards in his 3rd career game. Gabby? lol

I honestly dont mind the 7td to 8 ints at this point he is moving the ball and taking chances.

I completely agree. Let the qb learn by doing.

I admit that I am eating crow. I expected him to be a total bust. Geno is making rookie mistakes but I think that he will work out the issues.

Gabbert is not a good measuring stick when discussing QB success. Keep trying, though.

It's as if you guys didn't watch him during his years at WVU. He is making the same mistakes he made in his 3 years starting at West Virginia. I understand the "rookie mistakes" thing, but I do not see upside in a QB that can't fix his college tendencies.

Keep moving those goal posts.

He's improving every week. You haven't been watching him now which is all that matters. Keep bringing up things that don't matter anymore though.

Oh wow. You can tell, after 5 games, that he can't fix his college tendencies. That crystal ball must be handy.

He didn't throw many interceptions at WVU so that doesn't apply. He was careless with the ball at wvu which needs to be fixed at some point.

And how did you come to that conclusion when all I said was I like that the coaches are letting him learn by doing?

And he is still careless with the ball. I never said he can't fix it, I'm saying he hasn't fixed it. You guys say the INTs don't bother you, but as long as I keep seeing terrible decisions that result in turnovers then I'm not going to overlook the INTs.

It has been 5 games...

He has played better then I expected up to this point.  He took his team down the field when he had to.  That is a very, very difficult thing for a rookie to do.  He had tons of pressure and came up big.
