Eagles currently -10 favorites over Jaguars

Quote:Im a believer in the black vs white effect, but 78 degrees?  come on, that is December temps for us.

Not the point. (I agree with you - IMO, it will have little effect on us)

The point is why would the Eagles, or any other NFL team be utilizing it, if no advantage.

Quote:He's averaging 7.5 YPA on his 300 yard games? Thats almost certainly a swing and a miss.

I was simply pointing out you were wrong about the number of attempts.  I could go back and do the math on the YPA, but when I listed 300 yard games, that doesn't  mean he was exactly at 300 yards in those games.  Some were significantly higher.  But hey, I'll let you continue on with your ignorance.  It's really all you've got at this point.   It's like a warm blanket to you.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Talk about ignorance.....the point was that Henne's YPA is not adequate, hence the quip about how many attempts it is likely to take him to reach 300 yards. You cited all these numbers, alot of them falling past or very close to the numbers I cited.

You hardly proved my point incorrect.

Eagles by 10 sounds about right.

Chad Henne has had 6 298+ yard games for the Jaguars.

His average YPA in those games is 7.8.  If you remove the Texans game, it's 7.3

His lowest YPA in any of those games is still 6.49 (almost 6.5)

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Actually, I did.  You said 45-50 attempts.  That's not correct.

Nobody is declaring Henne anything special.  He's a placeholder.

Looking at another player TMD declared having an elite 2007, David Garrard had 0 300 yard games, and had a season average of 7.7 yards per attempt for the year.  Elite.  Passed Cookie's eye test.

This is where I'm at as well. We've got most of the pieces necessary to be a much better team than last year, but we're not quite there yet for anything else.

Not yet. But soon we will shock a lot of people. May not even be this season, but if Bortles comes in at all this season, even if we're out of contention for a Wild Card slot, we will see a very different team.

Surprising, but the guy is still a dink & dunker and easy for most defenses to defend.

Agreed.  I think we'll see this team take a significant step as this season progresses.  It won't be instant success, but as they gel, things will start to take shape.

7.7 is actually pretty good.  The over-glorified Andrew Luck had 6.7 YPA last year.

The Eagles green jerseys literally aren't ready yet.

and teams can only wear alternates twice a year and they probably already determined whicf games (if any) they'd wanna wear black for

Chad Henne's season average YPA according to NFL.com for 2013 was 6.4. There was like almost the entire NFL ahead of him.

According to TMD, a 6.1ypa game is a good game.

Yup, not much worse than Luck.

Elite?

TMD was panning Henne for 7.5 in those 300+ yard games as if it was a lousy stat.

But every QB in the NFL was ahead of him.  That's what TMD says.

I don't think he'd say that.

You would be surprised. Actually not really when you have read some of his recent post.
