the pass pro wasn't even that bad yesterday. there is no reason Bortles shouldn't start the home opener. No Robert Mathis that game.
Quote:If he was ready, he'd be in there. There' no grand conspiracy at play to keep Bortles sidelined. I don't think there is a grand conspiracy either. I think their plan was to sit Bortles potentially for the year. I think Bortles outplayed their expectations but they wanted to stick to the plan.

Quote:If a young Dan Marino was on the Jags' bench, I still wouldn't play him behind that shaky OL. The line wasn't that bad in pass pro. So no he wouldn't get killed. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:I don't think there is a grand conspiracy either. I don't think the plan was ever to sit Bortles for the entire year. You are making that part up as exaggeration since you're being a whiny tantrum throwing child since you haven't got your way yet. Quote:The Eagles also don't have much of a pass rush It's better than the Colts without Mathis. Plus week 1 for Bortles was not a possibility. My opinion is that they are giving Bortles the first two games to sit and watch how things are supposed to go (game planning, ect.) and then they'll start him against the Colts. NFC games are not that important. That is the only way we compete this year. If they sit him against the divisional opponent. It's obvious that we aren't really trying to win this year. Yes, players will try, coaches will coach, but they aren't truly giving us the best chance to win. Quote:It's better than the Colts without Mathis. Plus week 1 for Bortles was not a possibility. I don't expect Bortles to be on the sideline for much longer. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:You mean the Cyprien that was out when we gave up 34 points? That guy? lol yep. Quote:Indeed. nobody has forgotten. In fact, our 2nd half reminded us exactly how we looked last year.

You are making that part up as exaggeration since you're being a whiny tantrum throwing child since you haven't got your way yet. You're so desperate to attack me for some reason, you are lying. Quote:When asked when he would like Bortles to assume the starting spot, Caldwell said: “To be honest with you, probably 2015. We’d like to give Chad this whole year and go with Chad this year.” http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/201...e-in-2014/ Quote:I don't think the plan was ever to sit Bortles for the entire year. You are making that part up as exaggeration since you're being a whiny tantrum throwing child since you haven't got your way yet. It's never been indicated by Gus or Dave that he'd sit the entire year. At least nowhere that I have found. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:lol yep.Even in the 2nd half, the team remained in the game until the 4th quarter. Nothing like last year. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:You're so desperate to attack me for some reason, you are lying. Even with that example, nothing was set in stone. And as the season grew closer, even Caldwell was saying his performance definitely had them looking at their timeline. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:It's never been indicated by Gus or Dave that he'd sit the entire year. At least nowhere that I have found. I just posted a link. Took me about 30 seconds to find it.
Quote:Even with that example, nothing was set in stone. And as the season grew closer, even Caldwell was saying his performance definitely had them looking at their timeline. Of course it isn't set in stone. It could always change at any time. But that interview was right after the draft. And Caldwell seems pretty clear he'd like Henne to start the entire year. Good for them that they are sticking with their plan. We saw the results yesterday of half of that plan. The other half is whatever Bortles is supposedly gaining from sitting.
Quote:Even in the 2nd half, the team remained in the game until the 4th quarter. Nothing like last year. what are you talking about? we remained "in the game" because we had a 17 point lead, not because we were doing something positive. It takes time for a 17 point lead to evaporate. It was exactly like last year.
