Henne QBR was middle of the pack. He didn't carry the team to victory but he was far from horrible as some try to portray.

I wish more fans could see this as clearly. The most popular player on the team is always the backup QB.

No, the only difference significant between Gabbert and Henne I've noticed is that Henne at least has what it takes to pull it together and pad his stats in garbage time. Gabbert would just fall apart and even 4th quarter prevent defenses didn't help him out.

 

I can't wait until Bortles is in and we can end the suffering of the Gabbert/Henne years.

Calling your starting QB efficient isn't what I would consider to be a compliment.  Especially when they're talking about how they want the offense to be more aggressive.  Efficient may buy him another start or two, but I think you're seeing the first signals that change is coming.

 

As far as doing a good job with decision making, he didn't have any picks.  He didn't make the typical boneheaded mistakes that are his trademark.  He got lucky on a couple of passes that COULD have wound up interceptions, but at least for his sake, the stat line looks decent enough. 

I hope you're right. The division is wide open and the Jags are just as good as any other team in the division.

 

Which isn't saying much, but there's a lot of pride that comes with winning the division, regardless of the competition.

The fourth and one foot that Henne threw to Lewis is considered a drop because Lewis touched the ball.  Common sense says it wasn't a drop, but an errant throw.  Henne played just like I expected him to play.  Except I was surprised he threw the two long TD throws to Hurns.  Even then did you notice that one of the TD throws was 5 foot behind him and the other throw was short?

Go down the list of offensive components and tell me what other one was better? The pass pro was OK. The run blocking was terrible. The TEs were non existent except to watch Lewis lumber like a new born giraffe with the hands of of a circus clown. Hurns was good for 4 plays, the rest of the WRs were invisible except to drop some really nicely thrown passes. The RBs were useless.
