What this offense is missing

#41

The offense really isnt that far off as people think. Get a good center and maybe 1 more lineman somewhere, Bortles will be in next year and the wrs will be experienced. Id guess they will be top 16

This offense is missing about 9 good players who've played in it for more than a few months. They need time to learn and adjust to it to actually see if they're any good. That would be the entire line, the entire WR corps, the injured TE, and the new RB. The only hold overs are the QB and the FB, who aren't anything more than average anyway.

Think about that for a minute and then try to figure out why anyone thinks these guys should be playing well on September 19th.

I seriously believe that continuity is missng from our offense. The line hasnt played together and therefore has not become a cohesive unit. We dont have a dominant TE and Lewis misses alot of blocks in our scheme. The WRs are rookies and need time to adjust to a real NFL season. QB play is just gawd awful. So we need to mesh together and mature as a young team. I seriously think that we will be ok, its just a lot of growing pains to indure while we find our true identity.

It's like being the nerd (jaguars) at school... until you take out the bullies (rest of NFL) knee (strength)... you're just his whipping boy.

It's all on Gus. He's positive this is a good way to play.. "keep the terrible QB in until you have no shot at the playoffs again, then you aren't held accountable for the last part of the season because nobody cares anymore."

Did someone actually say we have one of the better WR groups in the NFL?? We might have the worst at this point. The Raiders atleast have James Jones to throw to, Jets with Decker and the Browns have Josh Gordon.

Lee and Robinson have proved nothing and Hurns has had 1 good game.

@haveaseat --- say what?   we have one of the better WR units in the league???   that statement is just crazy.   we have some potential but we my have the worst WR units in the league based on their current abilities (with or without injuries) and extreme lack of experience.

Other than that, they are looking good.

What's missing?

Ace Sanders first of all. (I'll leave JB out as a lost cause)

Eugene Monroe...Austin Pasztor...CS3...Marcedes...Hurns...now Lee...Cyp too...D. Smith...

These injuries are just catastrophic, and endemic. Coaching must address the matter, as it has been going on in Jax as long as I can remember. It can be corrected, it is not just a matter of dumb bad luck.

We can't win without our players on the field.

Oh right.. get BB in there..

Perhaps unwisely... Experience has its merits as we can all now see.

QB, HB, WR, TE, LT, LG, C, RG, RT.

The only impact player we have out there is Ta'ufo'fo. Guy is a stud.
