What this offense is missing

#1

Justin Blackmon.

If we cant throw it since we dont have any studs at WR, then they load the box to stop......wait for it....Toby Gerhart.

We actually have one of the better wide receiver units in the league. Problem is keeping them all healthy and still learning the playbook.

He is right, actually. Although we don't have a stellar group like the Broncos and Packers, they are worlds better than the guys James Harris and Gene Smith drafted (except for Justin Blackmon). Also, notice how old they are. We have three rookies (Allen Hurns, Marqise Lee, and Allen Robinson) starting and a second-year player (Mike Brown) subbed for Cecil Shorts. Suspended Ace Sanders also is a second-year player. So yes, they are going through  some growing pains.

Those are some beautiful teal glasses you are wearing.

It's probably best if you don't take them off, it's not pretty out there right now.

What the offense is missing is standing on the sideline with a clipboard

I think it would be easier to just list what the offense does have...

They look good on paper, height, weight, school they came from, college production, but on the field, they look like crap.

how dare you?  playing him now would ruin the franchise forever

This offense is missing "starters".  Few of the guys on offense slated to start this Sunday would be starters on other teams.

You'd classify Cecil Shorts and 3 rookies as one of the better units in the league?

It's almost every position on offense failing.

With Shorts out, we have 3 rookies and Mike Brown, our receivers are highly inexperienced and inconsistent.

Our O-line can't run block and are way out of sync due to a new body at almost every position.

And Henne being Henne.

What is so wrong about what he said? He didn't say the Jags have the BEST WR group, he said they have one of the better ones, which they do. When Ace Sanders comes back and Cecil Shorts finally gets healthy, there will be 5 guys out there for our QBs to pass the ball too. Now when (if) Blackmon comes back, the Jags will have talent all over the field. Marquise Lee was a 1st round talent when he had a good QB. Allen Robinson is a very good WR. Allen Hurns has proven to be a diamond in the rough. Cecil Shorts has been great when healthy. Ace Sanders is the type of WR you can throw a screen to and let him do the work.

I know the popular thing to do is crap on the current team, but I think the WR core is actually strong.

As for what this offense needs, I would say a real RB and better O-Line.
