Is Gurley worth a 1st round pick?

Maybe, but this team will NEVER win any games with the defense it has now.. Draft defense for the future and grab players out of FA for the now..

He's worth a first, but unless he is a truly transcendent talent, we need to go defense.

With teams loading up to stop the pass why not do the opposite and incorporate more running against teams with increasingly weak run defenses? I think balance is where the real long term success is and Gurley and Bortles just sounds too good.

After Sunday's display I'm starting to wonder our defense might be ok without the addition of a top defensive player. I'm not saying don't draft defense, because we do need help there, but if the best player available is Gurley then pick Gurley.

Having said that, McCoy is showing that even the best RB can struggle if your offensive line isn't right...

And to elaborate on that Minnesota is showing that with a dominant OLine it doesn't matter who you have running the ball. Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon just ran wild the week prior.

Makes you wonder how Gerhart would be doing if he had stayed...

Talented but no RB in this draft is worth high 1st round.
