I watched a squealer that was waving his towel right in front of a jags fan who asked him to keep down some so he could see.

He was pretty dang annoying waving that rag.

It was hilarious. Everyone who complains about it is too sensitive. Every year that progresses things get worse and worse, we get more censored, and we lose more of our freedoms.

I just don't think we, as a country, have absorbed the impact that this disease has had in Northern Africa.    Honestly, I laughed at the game then did some research the next day and changed my position on the subject matter.  All in all, I think it was an honest mistake that don't merit anything but an apology.   For the record, approximately 4,000 people have died in Northern Africa from Ebola in 2014.  Just imagine 4,000 Floridians dying from a spreading disease with no help on the way.

i personally dont know if you watch shows like south park or family guy, but you can see jokes about all kinds of epidemics with death tolls far higher than Ebola.

Very,very true. It's why I downgraded my previous take from 'funny' to 'a little funny.'  And even that is because I naturally gravitate to "dark humor."

 

It's bad there and it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better as the infrastructure is not in place to handle it.

I think the issue with the Cold/Flu route is the fact that your chance of dying from a cold is probably 0.0001% whereas Ebola, Cancer, Aids, and Leukemia is significantly higher. 

 

Then I would argue that the chances of contracting Ebola, in the States, is .0001%.

 

My point is that people will always be offended, and I'm sure that we could find someone that doesn't like your jokes. Someone else said it was in bad taste... sure, but I usually like those the best. I don't think this is a big deal.

Why? Does the sign in anyway imply that he wishes anyone would get ebola? That Steelers fans towels carry ebola and they will get that? Are people so sensitive that they can't see this for what it really is? Does everything have to be deemed offensive by some?

 

I am happy to see that the vast majority of comments, from fans from all over, see this for what it is. A joke, with no ill intent whatsoever.

People have talked about a sign with Aids, Cancer, and now gay.....thats a different level obviously, and he didnt do it!  It was a little insensitive, but I've seen a lot worse.
