Jaxson De Ville catches flak from ESPN for sign he had at game yesterday
|
I personally found it to be insensitive and in poor taste. The franchise embarrassed the league and the local community.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Well, some of above posters are right....where does it all end? I think the towels should be banned.
gone, kaput I watched a squealer that was waving his towel right in front of a jags fan who asked him to keep down some so he could see. He was pretty dang annoying waving that rag. Jags fan grabbed it a second because he was sick of it.....OMG, end of the world! , squealer called an usher.... "he grabbed my towel"....wahwahwah...man I wish we had beat those idiots,
Because Jaguars is our mantra

It was hilarious. Everyone who complains about it is too sensitive. Every year that progresses things get worse and worse, we get more censored, and we lose more of our freedoms.
It was just a joke and it was a good one.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
I just don't think we, as a country, have absorbed the impact that this disease has had in Northern Africa. Honestly, I laughed at the game then did some research the next day and changed my position on the subject matter. All in all, I think it was an honest mistake that don't merit anything but an apology. For the record, approximately 4,000 people have died in Northern Africa from Ebola in 2014. Just imagine 4,000 Floridians dying from a spreading disease with no help on the way.

And even that is because I naturally gravitate to "dark humor." It's bad there and it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better as the infrastructure is not in place to handle it.
People Just Need To Lighten Up .... He is a Mascot at a Football Game Making a Joke.
Even the Obnoxious Steeler Fans Sitting in Front of Me Laughed At Jaxson's Sign
Ok now over a 1,000 people have seen this post. Millions on Yahoo and various websites. Billions? (still millions) on Monday Night Football and ESPN. Great awareness. You, Jaxson de Ville are a hero.

Quote:@JagsNGeorgia ... are Aids, Cancer, and Leukemia jokes ok as well? .... just playing devil's advocate here for the sake of discussion -- not attempting to be the PC Police. Then I would argue that the chances of contracting Ebola, in the States, is .0001%. My point is that people will always be offended, and I'm sure that we could find someone that doesn't like your jokes. Someone else said it was in bad taste... sure, but I usually like those the best. I don't think this is a big deal.
My friend died from swerving to miss hitting a chicken that crosse the road.
If any of you ever tell a "Why did the chicken cross the road?" joke, you are insensative and need to apologize for me.
And all of your PC babies: I suggest you never youtube Anthony Jeselnik's stand up routines.
Quote:I personally found it to be insensitive and in poor taste. The franchise embarrassed the league and the local community. Why? Does the sign in anyway imply that he wishes anyone would get ebola? That Steelers fans towels carry ebola and they will get that? Are people so sensitive that they can't see this for what it really is? Does everything have to be deemed offensive by some? I am happy to see that the vast majority of comments, from fans from all over, see this for what it is. A joke, with no ill intent whatsoever.

Quote:Then I would argue that the chances of contracting Ebola, in the States, is .0001%. So as long as it doesn't affect the USA ( yet?) it doesn't matter? Gotcha. Why then are we bombing Syria? Why are we in Afghanistan? Iraq? To keep us safe here? Wonder how a sign saying towels turn you gay would have went over? Wouldn't have bothered me, but guaranteed JAX woulda been in hot water. Selective outrage is what we have here. Now we are sending our soldiers there to help, plus spending a ton of money here on this. Funny stuff indeed. Quote:So as long as it doesn't affect the USA ( yet?) it doesn't matter? Gotcha. You were able to get all that out of the sign? Wow.

The man who had ebola in Dallas-Fort worth just passed away. Sad.
No commercial messages in sigs

I don't get what the big deal was, he made a sign and SNL made an Ebola parody. Whoopdee doo.
