So can we all agree finally that our Defense is playing better?

I hope they've actually turned the corner and aren't just loitering on the street. They certainly looked the part Sunday, but I'm still a little skeptical.
I don't expect them to stifle the phins run game as well as they did the browns, but if they can keep them under 100 yds rushing and under 220 passing, I'll feel pretty good about the D and it's progress. Those are very attainable goals, IMO. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:lol....how about that one play where the one Jags defender stopped the forward progress of the Brown player and then like 5 or 6 other Jaguars flew to the play and gang tackled the guy at once. I was actually laughing out loud at that thinking "poor guy haha".... ![]() "Remember when you were in that band, ummm, The Beatles? Yeah? Ummm, that was awesome!!" (couldn't resist, TMD. That's what your post reminded me of. LOL. It was good to see though, you're right.) Quote:I hope they've actually turned the corner and aren't just loitering on the street. As we saw, the Browns are a fraud. Make no mistake we played well on defense and you must play well no matter the opponent, but the Browns were exposed as not being as good as their record may lead some to believe.

Quote:Agree. They must sustain the momentum and continue to grow.We took away their identity and forced them to beat us with their weakness. Their a .500 team which is an improvement from prior seasons. That's a step up from the Ford we beat last year...
Making up
Evidence Depending on Information Available
The defense has shown improvement. I can't wait to be on the winning side of another 62-7 game.

Quote:We took away their identity and forced them to beat us with their weakness. True. Even in today's modern "passing era" you still have to run the ball and stop the run to win football games. Who'da thunk it?

Quote:Gus Bradley explained it today at his press conference. Strategy has nothing to do with it and it certainly is not a coincidence. It's good that the players stuck to assignment, played tough and made fewer mistakes...but there was definitely a slight scheme change two weeks ago. We are playing more single high press and relying on the front 4 to get home. There have been very few blitzes called as well. our LBs get killed in a zone scheme, which honestly should be less likely in that scheme. ![]()
Quote:This is now 3 straight weeks. It's odd, we held both the squealers and the tacks to 10 and 16 points yet people on the board were still complaining about how bad our D is. With 3 straight weeks of solid performances, I think we can all agree now that the defense is playing better. Where you at TMD and bartramspringsihatelife? It's not always the point totals though. The D has progressively been getting better all around but up until this past Sunday were struggling to get off the field in crucial moments. Third downs were killer, we would fall way behind in time of possession, which all factor in the outcome of games. Final score aside.
No pain, no gain.
