I never did say I want him fired right now.

At seasons end? Possibly.

I wonder how many here, in the Jag organization, in Duval really care what you want?

" Hey Shad. TMD here. I don't attend any games, but I want you to fire Gus"

" Ummm...TMD? ... Shad here...Are you the same TMD that applied for the concession stand job opening? Maybe I'll decide who to fire. You concentrate on firing up the deep fryer"

it will be topped by year's end, you just watch and see.

Could even be today or tomorrow or maybe after Sunday's game, but it will be topped.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:Gus shouldn't need pro bowl level players at every position before he can win, though.

Good coaching gets the absolute most out of what you already have.

I don't believe that Bradley has done that. 1-6, (5-18) and a league worst point differential 2 years running is not getting the most out of the current talent base.

JImmy Johnson, with a roster of largely no names in 1990 (his 2nd year) was already showing significant improvement. His defense only gave up 300 points for the season and his team finished 7-9. Gus might not even match his 4-12 from last year....Thats unacceptable.

Again with the 1 bullet comparison. Have you nothing else besides that one now thoroughly brutalized equine carcass to beat? You don't get to take a one time ever event and treat it like it should be the standard for all others, and that's what that Cowboys example is. What else you got?

And Pro Bowl players at every postition? Are you serious? How about we just have a single Pro Bowler? Or heck, how about we not have first year players at more than 50% of the offensive positions? Bradley has a deck stacked against him, and everyone in the organization knows it, that's why they aren't responding with the ridiculous criticism that some on this board are. Because we all knew it would be tough going for at least 2 years with this team. For all the work you put into being the board inteligentsia, why does this simple little fact evade your notice over and over again? It's tired.

That's an opinion. For all we know, he could have done worlds for them. You can't argue on one side that Caldwell hasn't given him good talent, then say he's a bad coach because he hasn't developed the bad talent he was given.

Quote:Why does Bradley act like he won the Super Bowl in his post-game speech?

I've never seen Carroll, Harbaugh, Coughlin, McCarthy, Payton, Tomlin, Dungy, Cowher, Belichick, Jimbo Fisher, Saban, etc. act like that.

This team needs a head coach, not a cheerleader. He doesn't exhibit the ability to lead. The team is 1-6, sure, enjoy your first win, but not like you just hoisted the Lombardi.

Man the Jags are in trouble.

Quote:Yes it is. EVERYone was for the Del Rio extension in 2007.

Its not news and I never claimed that I wasn't for it.

That said, I was the quickest one in 2008 to realize it went belly up and we made a huge mistake. All the while, people like pirk, probably you, and most of the message board was still defending Del Rio until the literal day of his firing 3 years later.

Well, first I'd say speak for yourself. I was NOT for Del sucko's extension. That was the biggest mistake in franchise history, and I thought so at the time.

I knew the locker room jump-party was going to spark a lot of criticism. Ehhh, Gus has been under a ton of pressure, and the lid came off...good on that I'd say...best to get all the anxiety out of the way.

I haven't seen the presser yet, and I do put some credence on such things, but on balance the same applies. Overcooked anxiety.

Everyone calls in all Bradley's stats and such here to date. I don't. We had Gabby...and no chance. Henne...same prob.

For my mind, if Gus was fired tomorrow, his time here has been a success. He deserves great credit for turning the ship around, getting the locker room on the right 'team' page. Penalties are way down. The players are upbeat, and playing agressively. The rooks are getting better and better. The off-field garbage has largely been stopped. Sacks!!! I mean we are getting sacks!! That is friggin' huge. We are making first downs, and they all aren't 3rd and 9's.

We actually punted the ball, and the coverage caught it inside the ten. AND we got a turnover on special teams. Be still my beating heart.

For the most part, we are protecting the football very well. X-BB's ints (and I do...couple ugly ones, yeah, but at least a couple don't matter at all) CS3's fumble 2 weeks back hurt, but he was trying to make something happen on that play. The fact that D.Rob was able to step in, get the carries, and hang on to it all game was very impressive. Good coaching I'd say.

The word that FA's of high caliber would consider Jax because Gus is well-regarded is important too. We need one or two, and I can only hope at this point we will see an acquisition in the off-season of a true marquis player.

Am I a Bradley trumpet-blower? No, not really, because I want a ring in Jax, and he may or may not have what it takes. But for the moment I am in his corner, and very much appreciate the effort HE has given.

Losing Poz was a huge setback.. The heart of the D is gone, and will certainly affect the already sickly record. All told, on balance, net-net, Jax is vastly superior to what we have had. I am enjoying every contest now, and look forward to every Sunday.

We won't make the playoffs, okay, too bad. But I for one, very much enjoy playing the spoilers for other team's chances. It's the next best thing.. Cleveland was an upset...I say there will be others this year. That is going to be a ton of fun!

He wanted to hype up his team, Just like he did this crowd http://instagram.com/p/rLN3SRBpHY/. That ain't a bad thing.

That was from a party prior to the season.

Quote:No it doesn't prove that at all.

Everyone wanted the JDR extension in 2007. Just because everyone wanted it at that point doesn't mean that you stick the heels in the ground and not call him out in 2008 when he did a lousy job. I realized in 2008 that he needed to go, (and was right), and the majority of the rest of you stuck by your incorrect opinion that JDR wasn't a problem. If anyone's opinions were completely worthless its the people that defended JDR until his firing.

Too bad.
We all can change our opinion. It doesn't make you smart. You whiffed just like everyone else. Retrospect makes us all geniuses.

Trying to call other people like you had it right all along after you whiffed is disingenuous.

That's why your opinions are worthless. You just change them as you go along and pretend your faulty opinions never happen.

You are just lying trash that will never earn anyone's respect on this board.
