Brady vs Manning
|
Peyton has the numbers and he's a great QB but it's still Brady >>>>> Manning.

Quote:JW, I also "like" him quite a bit. But I also agree with you that he completely falls off a cliff in the post season. No idea why- I don't even have a theory.
Quote:A block in the back should have been called on that play. It was close, and I thought they were going to call it when i saw it live. After re watching it, it was probably a pretty good no call....it was too close to call that a penalty.
Quote:I also "like" him quite a bit. He can't play outdoors in bad weather. Even the playoff games in Denver have had unseasonably good weather, otherwise they would've lost there too. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

I did not see the block live, but when Nantz, Simms, and Carey talked about it, I wished the touchdown was called back. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Are you forgetting how bad the weather was in Miami when he won the Super Bowl? It was pouring rain. Fumbles were a problem for both teams because of wet footballs. It was sunny in Foxboro yesterday, which is better than that rain storm he won the Super Bowl in.

It was cold and windy in Foxboro last night and he lost. Both Super Bowls he played in Miami were over 65 degrees. Had they not been playing the Bears 2006 those 19 points he put up wouldn't have been enough to win and he'd be the biggest playoff choker ever. How can we forget Tracy Porter taking the Manning hair ball to the house to beat them in 2009? ![]() Last year in New York it was 48 degrees. We all know how that turned out for your boy and his team. ![]() “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

Quote:They weren't winning that game anyway. You're right. The Patriots have been on an absolute ROLL since the Kansas City game debacle. The week after that, I heard the announcers talk about the Patriots had been juggling around the O-line all over the place the first part of the season. Since that game, the O-line has been stable. They're not moving people around any longer. Look at the major difference it makes. Add the O-line stability to a few game home stretch in Foxborough,, and they have been a Steamroller lately.

I agree with Brady>>>>>>Manning. Manning is one of the best, but Brady is clutch. He doesn't look 37 with those rockets he was throwing last night, and Gronk, holy crap...enough said

Brady's numbers would be up there with Manning if he wasn't polishing a turd of an offense the first half of his career.
This ^
Look at what Manning has, serious weapons. Brady just has Gronk. I don't know how he does it. Lafell? He would fail if he were in a Jags uniform. I see why Brady killed the NFL, and almost went 19-0 when he had an threat at WR with Moss. The thing that matters the most will never be in Manning's favor, which is play off/super bowl wins. ![]()
Quote:This ^ Think about this: The WR is the most receptions in Patriots history is Peyton Manning's #4 option this season alone. Quote:Manning choked again last night. Simply put, Brady owns Manning. Head to head, Brady 11, Manning 5. A tick more than double the wins.

There's a prevailing feeling here in New England that BB has failed to give TB the weapons he's needed over the years with the exception of Randy Moss with whom they went 17-1.
JW- your comment about it being "sunny in Foxboro" couldn't be further from the truth. It was dark by the 2nd half, windy with about a 42 degree temperature but a 30 degree wind chill. It was flat out nasty here. We even got an inch or so of snow around Noon.

Wow so I just read that no NFL team has a winning record against Tom Brady in the regular season. That's insane.
Amazing to think aswell that if Welker doesn't drop a couple passes Brady probably would have 5 SuperBowl wins. Far too much emphasis is placed on stats. Brady is a better QB than Manning and does far more with less. How he got that team last year to the AFC Championship game is really quite incredible
From 2001 to 2006, Tom Brady's leading receivers were:
Deion Branch David Givens David Patten Troy Brown The guy even managed to lead the NFL in touchdowns one season with that polished turd of a receiving corps. |
