Quote:And that is why he is probably a pretty good defensive coordinator.

Why should we think he is ever going to be a good head coach?
1-10..... He's not a good head coach. You can tell by how Bortles has regressed instead of improved.

Quote:2.8 would be after 14 games next year, actually.

My point is he shouldn't get 2.8 years

Seems obvious.

Quote:I like the direction the defense is aiming toward.   They have a hard time finishing games because the O can't keep them off the field long enough - and they lack quality starters at 3 or 4 positions. Those guys get exposed.

That and the way the vet players seem to really buy in to Gus' philosophy are the only things that I see -  but we aren't around when it matters.  Caldwell has so, so , so much more to evaluate than we do. We aren't privy to the important stuff IMO.

People here are just connecting the dots while they don't even see 70% of the dots. Myself included.

Yeah, but right now it's starting to look like this:

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

There is no even a glimmer of hope.  Fire Bradley.

He should be fired tomorrow. He will be the DC for a contender next year and we can look for a HC who can have this team playing at it's potential. Both parties will be better off.

Bradley isn't going anywhere this off-season. Hopefully theres a different story with the coordinators.

If he's not gone, hopefully an upgrade with those coordinators you speak of have NFL experience, good experience, successful experience.

If Bradley isn't fired, he'll be on the shortest possible leash. What coordinators do you think you could possibly get?

Who would really want to come here?  There's no guarantee our arrow is pointing up or that BB is the man.

People probably said that about Cleveland but now look.... 7-4 and a potential playoff spot.

The reality is we got a rookie Owner, a rookie GM, a rookie HC, a rookie OC, a demoted DC, who cleaned the roster of experienced players and replaced them with rookies. Who in their right mind thought this was a recipe for success?

Bradley wont get fired, nor should he be. His specialty, the defense, has played well enough to have a winning record if they had a mediocre offense on the other side of the ball week in and week out. Not even good. Just mediocre. People forget about the performances because in the end we lose. But when they force force turnovers (eagles game and today) and hold the team to 20 points or less (multiple games not counting pick 6s) you should be winning those games.

Doesnt have to be success, just dont look lifeless. Score 17 points every once in a while without needing garbage time..

They have a rookie head coach. They saw Chudzinski was not the answer and fired him after one year and look now.

His specialty and what he's being paid for is to be a head coach, which he is pathetically failing on.  Passing the buck should not be allowed.

the offense is what is pathetically failing.

Let's not leave special teams out. We almost managed to have our only 3 points blocked again today, and were bailed out on that punt return for a td.
